Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Check out White Oak Armament. They make outstanding barrels in most profiles. Rainier Arms ( no affiliations) usually has them in stock.
  2. I tried this combo and I had issues with doubling. I have had several Geissele triggers and the fit and finish is outstanding, however, I have found the extremely short reset and crisp break of the JP trigger fits my 3gun needs better. It seems to me, that knowing exactly when the hammer wiill fall has helped me improve the accuracy of my shots with the JP over the 3DSD. Everyone is different and I think that variety allows people to find that which fits them best. You can't go wrong with either one, you just have to find he trigger that is most right for you.
  3. Push the exposed tip of the screw against a piece of wood while holding the pad in you weak hand. While applying pressure to the screw, back it out with the screw driver in your strong hand.
  4. Been running the TRX 13 since they came out an have never had a problem. I just got a TRX Extreme 15 to completely cover the gas block and to better protect the barrel when leaning against barricades.
  5. As per MGM, the Nightforce NXS works on the PST.
  6. Just got the US OPtics SN-4s with Lund reticle. It looks like its going to be really fast. I also like GREEN!
  7. Faster lock time and trigger reset will have the greatest effect on your splits. A good Single stage trigger is the way to go. Geiselle just came out with a new hybrid trigger, that I will be testing later this week. It is supposed to have a short reset. Your buffer spring, buffer and BCG need to be balanced with your gas system to have optimal reliability. If you increase any of these your rifle may short stroke. Also remeber that the buffer spring works in two ways: to slow the BCG as it travels rearward, and to return the BCG to battery. If you increase the power of the buffer spring it will SLOW down the rearward travel, while it will INCREASE forward travel to equal out to zero net gain. BTW I run a Extra Power CS Flatwire Spring in my 3 Gun rifle because MY RIFLE runs smoother with it. Every rifle is different. d-box
  8. Once again, thanks to BigJim Fish at AR15.com The true 1-3,4,6x variable power iluminated multipurpose scope review thread
  9. White Oak Armament makes great barrels White Oak AR15 Barrel Available through Rainier Arms: Rainier Arms WOA 16 Midlength
  10. Which one is a better choice for Three Gun and why? Both are excellent scopes and I need help deciding.
  11. I use to run a RRA two stage trigger and then went to a JP. For 3 gun, using a 2 stage trigger feels like running in sand. The JP is noticeabely quicker.
  12. Thanks, you have answered all of my questions!
  13. I'll get both springs and try it out. I am planning the use the atlanta arms ammo, so this is good info. What grip tape is best?
  14. What is the best guide rod/ spring setup?
  15. Thats what I was looking for. I only want to spend money on modifications that are necessary. Is a stainless Guide rod even necessary? Is the weight better spent on other mods?
