Thanks for all the replies! The gunsmith is a local guy where I live, but I also was considering Canyon Creek, as he is not too far from me either. Has anyone had him do any 1911 work?
Rich will take good care of you, his does great work.

Looks good to me, but I'm not Polish. I have a Polish friend thats very handy, I'll ask him to take a look. How many guys does it take to shoot a Polish plate rack?
Just kidding, I wish I had the skills to make some stuff. I weld like a 3 year old, I'm glad I have friends that can make the targets I ask for.

I'm trying to plan my days off for work. Does anyone know the location of the IL Sectional and date?
Thank, Pat
**EDIT**
For match info, see post #16 below.

With all of this happy 1-9-11 day talk going on, I went out and got my 6th one. A used Kimber Heritage Edition. It looked liked it needed a good home and a role as a back up pistol for matches.
A homeless 1911 is a terrible thing.
After I picked this pistol up I sent it off for a little work. I just picked it up and couldn't be happier. I don't think it will be the back up now.

Rinse and lay on towel or use wife's cookie sheets covered with foil and place in oven.
that will go over well......
While she is at work, cover your tracks before she returns.

You could also use a little Lemi-shine in the water (found by dish soaps). I've used the Lemi-shine and it seams to do a good job on tarnished brass. Rinse and lay on towel or use wife's cookie sheets covered with foil and place in oven.

I feel much better now.

Welcome to the forums, you should be able to find all the info you need here. If you don't, all you have to do is ask.

The same thing started with my .45. For the last month it has been the only thing I can count on happening at a match.

It’s a very special oil mixture, that’s why. It helped me climb from lower C class to high C class in only 2 years. Could a lube that was only 100% do that?
Got my B card in Limited!
