Thanks guys, I was worried about how I would do at the match. Now I'm thinking I will just relax. My plan is to have fun, be safe, and enjoy watching the other shooters.

Thanks guys I don't have my classification yet, so it looks like I'm shooting U. Sparky, the total is up by one more now. You guys should be at 322. Just got done with the sign-up sheet. Now I just have to wait for my PIN. Now I need to go practice for the next two weeks.

Area 5 match is being held locally. I only have one match under my belt now and was wondering if this was a match I could or should shoot in. Would I be better off shooting a few more local matches first? I just saw this match was a short drive for me and thought if would be fun and a learning experience. Any thoughts or advise would be great. Thanks, foilhat

I have a tumbler, but I also soak the brass from time to time. I bought Lemi-shine from the dish soap area in the supermarket. I put the brass in a one gallon bucket with hot water and a few table spoons of Lemi-shine. stir or scrub a few times during a thirty minute soak and rinse. I air dry or oven dry and tumble. Any residue does wipe off the brass while it is still wet.

Sounds like I'm OK with pistol weight, now if I can keep the nerves from getting me. Thanks guys

I will be shooting my first match this Sunday with my stock Kimber Classic Custom. The rule book states the pistol must weigh under 43oz. I added a S&A magwell to the pistol. I do not have a scale and was wondering if this pistol would be under the weight limit. The pistol also has a full length guide rod if that makes any difference. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the reply. I was also thinking about the .100, Dawson said the rear sight was .125.

I was planning on buying a adj. rear sight from Dawson for my Kimber Classic Custom. The gun has fixed sights at this time. I also wanted to add a Dawson F/O front. The Dawson rear needs a .180 tall sight but I do not know how wide I should order the sight. Dawson offers a .090, .100 and .125. Has anyone used this set up that could tell me what size might be better?
