  1. I hate when I'm wanting to go to a match this weekend and my junk truck gets a leak in the pressure hose of the power steering and the lighting system has some sort of ghost running around making the brake lights and turn signals not work all of the time. I just love spending my days off trying to keep this thing running instead of shooting.
  2. I may just run it without for a while and see how it goes. Thanks for the help.
  3. I installed a new mag release with the over sized button. I was wondering if I should put a little lock-tite on the screw or just leave it alone. Any problems either way?
  4. It is nice to visit a forum without the snobs and hi-tech dorks. I like being able to come here without all the hate . Use what you have and upgrade later. We have a bunch of good folks here, thanks for all the help.
  5. Hi Ryan, I sure like your 200g SWC. Keep up the good work.
  6. Welcome, I bet the more you read in here, the more you will use that 550.
  7. Good job Robbie, high B. Looks like Nick, Sherwyn and Jim placed well also. Thanks for the advice and encouragement at the match. Pat
  8. Thanks Jim, I had a lot of fun with you guys. Thanks for putting up with a new guy. I might have to change bullet styles, those white no shoots were wad cutter magnets LOL. We had a good bunch of guys and it made for a great day, even if the scores do not show it (for me). Pat
  9. I had Bill do a trigger job on my AR, I'm sure the rest of his work will be just as good.
  10. Welcome Slip, I'm new to the sport myself, I just started in May. It's a great sport and this forum is full of good info. Good luck on your first match, foilhat
  11. great pics, thanks for sharing.
  12. People call and complain, saying they think they have been scammed. They were sent an email telling them they won a prize or lottery in some other country (do you remember buying a ticket or signing up?). They pay the taxes or fees to get their prize and it is never sent. Some times it is hard to feel sorry for these people.
  13. I have loaded close to 1000 of the S&B cases. Of the 1000 I have only shot 150-200 and not done a second loading yet. I did not have any problems with the brass the first time it was loaded.
  14. I had night sights on my Kimber also. I got the Dawson front fiber and plain black rear sights. The three dot night sights were way to hard to track, at least with my eyes and skill level.
  15. thanks guys, I checked the rule book, but must have overlooked it. I may have to order a release with the button and give it a try. Now I just have to decide what to get. foilhat.
  16. Can a extended mag release or button be used in single stack. I would like to install a release with a button, but did not know if it is allowed. Anyone use these before, did you like it or should I leave it stock. Gun is a Kimber Classic Custom. thanks for any help.
  17. I would pick the .45, but I only own .45's and two nines.
  18. I have the Dillon tray (brass), it seems to work good. I do like the wolf primers for practice. Just place the tray on top and flip over. Primers all all lined up and ready for the tube.
  19. If you want to shoot the IL sectional, call Chuck Varnold. His number is on the USPSA web site along with web address. Mr. Varnold is very good about returning calls also with respond to email, but phone seems faster if you want a quick reply. Looks like they still have room. Chuck will answer the phone or call you back as soon as he gets your message.
  20. I have a Rock River 2 stage and a single stage done by Springfield. I'm happy with both, just depends if you want 2 stage or single.
  21. My turn, I have ten of these mags and they had worked great. I have used them for over a year and have not had any problems with them. I used them in matches and practice without fail. I had not noticed any problems with the feed lips while cleaning. I went to Area 3 and was looking forward to a good match (for me). I had several feeding problems during the match probably five or six times. I was just cleaning my gun and checking mags before going out to practice. Until I found four mags were cracked on the back of the feed lips and two appear to be on the verge. I know I should have used my Wilson mags and Chips, but I wanted the mags to be all the same. I had never had problems before, so I took the PSI ACT mags. Just ordered some Wilson mags from the BE store! Now I have enough Wilson mags for a match. Hard lesson learned, but I still had a good time and shot with a bunch of great people.
