Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Nice looking sight and shop. Maybe the forum isn't the right place for this but...I'm pretty sure when I got my front sight from you a couple of years back it was the .095x.180 version, how much will that impact the effectivness of the new rear?
  2. Any idea on when the new web shop will be up...or pictures of the new sight available? I sure would like to see this as I hate the factory sights on my Match.
  3. Wouldn't swear to it but I always heard that the factory spring is 14 lbs. That seems to be supported by the Wolff link above...but Henning's link lists the factory spring(part# 8.3) as 5.59 kg or a bit over 12 lbs. Since I tend not to shoot light loads, I changed mine to a 16 lbs Wolff when I swapped to Henning's guiderod and have not had any problems. For light/er loads it would seem reasonable to lighten up on the spring.
  4. I wasn't sure on the screw size and was sure if I took it out of the sight and to a hardware store it would disappear. But I did take the blade out of the sight and replaced the springs with a longer pair that I crafted from a couple of ball point pen springs. This put more pressure on the blade & combined with lock tite on the screw this seems to be working for now. On the EAA CS side of the deal; after I made this modification I called them just to ask what type of screw to look for in the event it worked it's way out again. The gal I talked with said "don't worry I'll send you one", 3 days later I received an entire new rear sight in the mail. Some of the folks at EAA do try to help their customers. Yes it's still the LPA sight but at least now I have spare parts until Henning's sights come out.
  5. Damn I should have waited before switching to the iFiber. The taller/thinner front sight itself is fantastic but the LPA rear sight on the Match doesn't do it justice. I'll have to wait(not long I hope)until you release new/better rear sights for the Match.
  6. I just got the .105 iFiber last week and it made a huge difference for my old eyes. Getting it sighted in with the rear sight on my Match was a PITA but that was because of the rear not Henning's product. I am now dead on at 25 yds but have only 2 clicks of "up" left on the rear...I'm watching and waiting for the screw to work out and the sight to explode. I guess I'll have to make it work until Henning gets a rear on the market. For anyone lurking(I know you are there because so was I!) If you need/want any of the products Henning sells he is top notch to deal with. I had a personal call from him in under an hour after placing the order to clarify my needs, he took the time to answer many of my questions and I had my order in about 3 days!
