I just called EAA and they told me the price for the wonder finish conversion kits are wrong. They are actually $609. They wouldn't honor the website price. She told me their website manager was working to fix the price on the website.

Why are these pads not legal for SSP?
They should be legal if they weigh less than 1oz. I see plenty of shooters in SSP with the TTI basepads.

Does anyone have a picture of the wonder finish slide and a chrome lower. I'm looking for a 9mm upper and $300 is to good to pass up. Pics please!!!!!

Are you using them in your Tanfos?BBI is the one I use exclusively now, I switched from X-Treme. I haven't noticed a real difference in smoke between the two. BBI is a better value and my groups were tighter.

Yes I am. I shoot limited in USPSA and I'm running about 180pf with them. It feels like I'm shooting a 9mm.

Is it common for limited guns to have light strikes with stock springs/firing pin?
I've got a limited and the only modification is a henning flat trigger. All the springs are what came in the gun. I've shot two matches with it and have had a couple light strikes with Winchester primers. I don't think it's the ammo since I check for high primers and have never had an issue shooting 9's or 45's with my 1911s.
I don't know if it's COMMON, but the ONE modification I always make with my limited guns, is a henning firing pin and removing the firing pin block. With a reduced hammer spring, and the henning firing pin, I can use cci RIFLE primers with no problem in limited 40. It's an easy fix.
+1 on this. I usually don't use the reduced hammer spring. I like to keep the trigger around 3-4 lbs, it a personal thing for me. Super light triggers scare me a little nervous.

henning sells a 10.75lb spring that he had done especially for 40 major loads. it would be worth a try.
+1. The Henning spring is by far the best, especially if your using custom hand loads.

Yes it does.

Tanfoglio Limited, 4.75 inch barrel.
BBI 180gr bullet
4.6gr VV n320
COAL: 1.135
PF: 175-180.

Major or minor?
Major

4.6-4.7 N320 at 1.135 will get you about 175 or 180 pf. I'm not sure what barrel you are using but you can play with the powder charge to get it right for you. I was using a 180 grain extreme bullet.

Nice looking pistol.

I could use one of these.

Yes, the 9mm Match barrel will fit in the 38 Limited Pro slide (the 38 breech is slightly bigger but not enough to give you trouble).
Then a 9mm barrel will fit a 40S&W gun just fine then?
-
Here another question for Dr. Atlas; will a 9mm barrel fit in a 38 super. I want another LimPro but all I can find is a 38 super. I have a 9mm Match upper and I think the barrels are the same length.
-
Long slide is the same length as a Match slide. That's a standard length slide (1/4" shorter).
Thanks for the clarification.

I know I posted this a month ago, but I thought I'd try again.
Anyone looking for an open top end project? I have a 4.5" 9mm slide and a 6" 9mm barrel that I'm not going to need. $460 shipped.
Do you still have this upper? Is it a long slide or the same as the Match slide?

I like the colors.
Do you have bigger pics
I sent you a bigger pic. I can send a better one in the morning.

Big mike, that gun case in your pic, what's in it
From top to bottom is a Stock III 9mm, Elite Limited 40 S&W and a Limited Pro 9mm.

I wish Tanfoglio would get their quality control in order. I have a Match 9mm and a Match .40, both made in about 2003-2005, they are top notch in fit and finish. The Limited I bought in 2010 and the one I just purchased have had numerous quality issues. I know next time I'll order several and ship back the others that fail inspection. In this age of CNC, I just don't know how some of this stuff gets made wrong in the first place.
I agree that the quality control is a little lacking. I have had small things wrong but nothing major; sometimes I feel like switching back to a Glock or going to a 2011 but I shoot a match and I remember why I bought a Tanfoglio in the first place. This year will be my make or break year for me.

My Stock III Xtreme with the solid brass Eric grips.
That is a nice piece of engineering.

Is a stock II also too heavy for IDPA?
I believe the Stock II is not legal for IDPA due to the bull barrel. Here is the text from the current rulebook:
8.1.7. Non-IDPA-Legal Modifications for All Divisions
The following features and modifications are not allowed in any division unless otherwise specifically allowed in the rulebook.
8.1.7.3. Heavy and/or cone style barrels without a barrel bushing except as allowed in ESP and CDP divisions with length restrictions.
8.2.2 Enhanced Service Pistol Division (ESP)
8.2.2.2. ESP Permitted Features and Modifications (Inclusive list):
8.2.2.2.21. Heavy or cone style barrels on firearms with barrel lengths of 4.25” or less.
This is correct however they do make Stock II's with a straight barrel. I had one in 9mm and it weighed 43.5 ozs. It is even more a unicorn than the bull barrel ones. I got rid of it when IDPA changed the rules and that was a stupid move on my part. If you can find a Stock II lower; you can add a LimPro or Stock I upper and it should be close on weight. Just a thought.
