  1. i just had to have it....what else can i say....aluminum railed forend....great quality....from www.sjhardware.com $210 delivered with insurance...these folks have a few items that i've never seen before......D I C K

Live and learn I guess. That's about half of my total cost of my whole 930 package I have put together. Still not good to get ripped off

  2. To save you the search ( ;) ):

    One large terry cloth towel.

One spray mister full of 70% isopropyl alcohol (the stuff from the pharmacy).

One bucket of loaded ammo with lube on.

ONe empty bucket for the cleaned ammo.

Spread the towel flat. Spritz with alcohol. Dump on ammo, 200 to 300 rounds at a time. Spritz the ammo again and stir. Fold up the corners of the towel and rub down the ammo for a few seconds and then dump into the clean bucket. Repeat as necessary.

Slightly more labor intensive than using your tumbler, but faster.

eta: Faster yet: leave it on.

I do this as well for 9mm. I use odorless mineral spirits though.

Where do you buy the oderless stuff? Because the regular stuff is intense on the nostrils.

  3. Even with stock springs M&P's have FTE problems. This is common among M&P's. It's the extractor, not the recoil spring.

Maybe some do. I do keep mine well cleaned, I take a very small flathead screw driver with a patch on it, and I pick out the debris. I do hear they gunk up easily. Maybe that is the cause with the FTE problem for some M&P's

  4. Run the stock # spring. No reason for the lighter spring, except to cause malfunctions.

Edit to add: in 10000 rounds I have yet have a FTE. I run 147 grain at 130 pf and I run a stock spring.

Does the buldged case still fit in gauge? If not you are most likelt firing out of battery

  5. After reading this thread, I wondered how the accuracy of the M&P could be as bad as has been reported and how it compared to other production guns. So yesterday, I used sandbags at 25 yards and compared M&P 9L and standard, glock 17 and 34, XD and a Beretta 92fs. I found that, basically, the groups were interchangable at 2-3" for each. In fact, the 9L gave the very best group at just under 2", although I think that is really because it has the best trigger of the bunch. I also think that all of the guns are actually capable of better as the more time I spent with each gun the better the groups for each became. I think I peaked at 2" with production guns. Factory Blazer was used for all groups.

Exactly...people are so quick to blame the gun, when most likely its bad shooting

  6. Went out today to finally test out the 930. Ran 100 rounds through it without a problem. Ran great and aimed good with the slugs I tried also. Best 500 bucks I ever spent! And weighs much less then my buddys fnh.

  7. Greg Jordan finished way up there in the 3gn stats and you have to wonder where a shooter like that would end up under these rules going forward.

Assuming Greg started shooting this year (2012) and participated in either the Divisional races or the upcoming qualifying match, his past performance would indicate that he would most likely receive an invite to the PRO Series for 2013.

Yes 1 match, for all the marbles. That is if you can somehow beat out the hundreds of others trying to get on the list for that one match. I predict that one match sells out in less then a day. And like howard said, hope you don't have a malfunction, which im sure every top competitor did at one point or another last year, I hope its not at that "1" match.

Did you even read the above posts containing the information that there will be a path through the Divisional races as well, or do you just want to continue believing your false assumption, factual information be damned?

What division should you run this year to qualify to run in the pro circuit in 2013?

  9. And the mighty kings did summon the peasants and tell them "you may slog through the mud to run our timers and clipboards and through the searing heat to set our steel and paste our targets as we partake in glorious battle to win fabulous wealth and seek glory, but remember that you must never dream to rise above your station. We were chosen to be royalty in the year of our Lord 2012 and you will serve as our lowly serfs for eternity."

    Lmao
