  1. I have a 4 year old iMac and a year old air both run great in chrome, safari, and fire fox. Have you contacted someone at the apple store for help. We lost our hard drive last year in the iMac and the customer service at the apple store was amazing. They helped diagnose what was wrong and helped me weigh my options about replacement parts or computer replacement. I'll never go back to a PC.

  2. I have the sure fire app and for practice it works ok once you have the sensitivity dialed in. I does not work well with other people shooting near by. I have the IPSC shot timer by snap as well. I never got around tos etting up but apparently you can record the sound of you gun firing and it will work better to pic up the sound as a result. Perhaps one of these days I will get around to trying it out. I would not trust anything on the iphone for a match.

  3. With the Dawson grips will I need to buy glue. I see glue, accelerator, and remover listed on the right of the screen. It would also be nice to see a picture of them.

As for the Gorilla and tac grips. How do they accomodate the different back straps. I use the medium insert wich I am guessing would be their target grip size.

I like the Idea of a one piece tape but am concerned about its ability to mold to the contour of the grips. Also the cutouts on the speed shooters grip enhancer leads me to think that they might get torn up easier due to all te edges created by the pattern of the wholes.

  4. I'm looking for a grip enhancer for my m&p. Any favorites out there? I have seen the e-treme grips and the talon grips mentioned on different forums. Is one better over the other? Are there others that you suggest?

I am leaning towards the x-trends as I have not been disappointed with anything from speed shooters.

  5. Seeing someone classified as Master in one division and then shooting Sharpshooter, or worse, in another is just wrong.

Hey that hurts... In my defense its safe to say im no "expert" with a 625.

In all seriousness I look forward to seeing some changes

  6. SSP - MA 2010 INdependence match bump

ESP - SS Classifier No bump this year :/ I had 4 FTES at the independence match and finished 3rd in esp SS

CDP - EX 2010 PA State match bump

ESR - UN I got a 625 for christmas and still need to classify

    SSR - UN

I have yet to shoot a classifier at the EX. I just dont see any point in practicing the classifier. I will keep plugging along and work at the bumps. My goal is 5 gun expert so I will more than likely have to practice the classifier for ESR...

  7. Sunday 7/24/11, Easton PA. hammer down at 11am

Easton Fish and Game is running the classifier as part of our July match.

You can get info on the EFandG web site or or nepaidpascores.net

Sorry mods for the match announcement but every one wants to know how this story turns out.

BTW I'm not sure where you shot that referenced match but they have some COF rules violations, %25 steel max in a stage %10 max in a match. Also a lot of nubes that do great there first couple of matches are runnin pretty fast and loose with the rules, usually cover. I'm not sure how tight they are calling PEs.

The SOs at eaton are generally consistent with rules as are the other SOs in the area where I shoot. I know of one SO specially that shoots at easton alot that is VERY consistent with cover calls. In fact I got one at the independence match from him in the shoot house.

  8. I use my M&P pro for both SSP and ESP. Its a cost efective solution for me. Im SSP MA and ESP SS so I put my Speed Shooter Specialties ESP mag well on so people accuse me of being a sand bagger a little less.

  9. I try to sell IDPA to anybody who is interested in shooting more. The question i get most is "Is it tactical training?" I of course tell them no, but it does teach you gun handling skills and after a while running the gun becomes somewhat automatic. IDPA is a game and I love it. When shooting a stage you have to have a plan and know where you want to reload use cover and so on. When you are taping target find where you want to be for cover points and pay attention to as much as you can on walk throughs. If you have a plan you will more than likely do what you want to. Training and basic skill proficiency come in handy when the stage doesn't go the way you wanted. Thats when if you know what you are doing you go into auto pilot and recover. I used to spend a lot of time at match making small talk and joking with people. After a few sanctioned matches and watch some of the "super squad" people i have toned down and focused a bit more on mental prep before a stage. I shot with Scott Waren this weekend and he didnt say much more than 20 words the whole match. He wasn't being antisocial he was there for business. So after all this rambling... you need to have the basic skills down, and a game plan. I find myself doing all of my thinking before im on the line and once that buzzer goes off its just focused shooting without much thinking. Now if I could get my M&P pro to stop the FTEs id be set...

  10. I have shot a few club matches that use a shotgun to start a stage. One memorable match was a night match.... I was happy I hit the steel. I like stages that include pick up guns because you get to try new toys. I never thought I would like shooting a .44 mag but I did.

  11. Yeah, the ports are a ticket into Open in USPSA. The other option would be get one with a longer barrel and have it cut down to your desired length, cutting off the ported part of the barrel while you're at it.

Have you mannaged to solve your hitting high problem? I seem to have the same problem at 25 yds. Needless to say i was not thrilled when i realized I had a problem.
