  1. I did this today but I only had 3 plates so I halved the time.

I never had a problem making the shots in the time allowed. Usually with time to spare.

    Misses kill your time.

Take the extra .001 -.01 to get the hit . It should almost always be faster.

  2. As with Walangapat, I hate any version of "To be honest" "Honestly" "To tell you the truth" etc. Implies that you have been lying up to this point. Most people say it unconsciously.

I'm also rather not fond of younger people calling me "Dude". I doubt if most of them could spell dude, never mind define it. And if you understood the English definition of dude I'm sure you wouldn't be applying it to me, dude-ette.

  3. Man I'm sure Julie's real cool, but what about your first J girl? Did I miss her J-___

name? You know who I mean, the one married to D-Lo, the one who kicks your butt silly in L10 at least once a month (mine too until I switched Divisions).

I know you would rather die than hurt her feelings. Let's please show a little decorum to the real life hard workin' accurate shootin' Indiana girl in an Indina night "J-go".

    Rhino?

  4. To answer SL: no.

To dajarrel: Hey way to go bragging about how the owner of the business called you back personally.

Now everyone will be expecting that kind of service. Next thing you know we'll be wanting him to start a shooters forum to help us learn how to shoot better and etc.

  5. I think it would've been nice of you to let her stand in front, waaay in front. A lot more of Julie, a little less of you.

Does this mean the Catholic church will be recieving a little larger donation this week (for prayers answered)? :D

  6. Time was 31.06 added in my head quickly.

Who are the IPSC shooters that can't add a 3 column problem with a pen in their hand? This is about a 3rd grade skill IIRC.

Scorekeeper/Ass. RO should be able to total these and get an approval and sig. from the shooter up-range from the next shooter, so the match can continue.

I really like the 3 Circle and sign method.

MET on this forum is one of the most conscientious I've seen. He teaches it at local match shooter meetings everytime I get a chance to share his dedication.

  7. Three of us shooting today. The G35 shooter gets to shoot my STI and a Brazos SC.

    "It's like cheating", he says.

I was hoping to meet Flex last weekend at MR@P, he must be awesome with that G35. Next time perhaps.

  8. The four of us had a great time shooting a truly awesome local match. One of our guys said it had the feel of a big match.

I had to laugh at the 5'6" guy complaining to the 6'6" MD that the shoot through barells are too low. :D

    Nice job BDH.

  9. I had a last minute epiphany. We would like to trade one of our up-n- coming Open shooters to Bill Seevers for a handful of new shooters.

For the new shooters we offer shooting with a

Master shooting Limited, some training on scoring and general match etiquette.

All Speedy needs to do is talk to our Open guy about the stages. This Open guy is new this year but also a gunsmith and very competitive with top notch equipment. He also helps as much as he can.

I'm excited but I've got to go to bed.

  10. Gary Groh in Columbus, IN built mine in two weeks. Custom on a STI frame with lightening holes and slits in the slide, custom rear serrations, we together picked out all the parts he ordered. It came in about the same $ as a stock Edge as bought through a retailer. Nowlin bull barell, the trigger with interchangeable inserts, Bo-mar rear, Dawson FO front, recoil master, AFTEC extractor, STI magwell. Cyclone mag release, blued.

I also shoot with 34 time's 60 year old master quite regularly. He had Gary build a custom off a Para frame. If you can get a Para frame/ slide cheap enough you could save a few hundred bucks over an STI.

Having the gun custom built for you is the thing, and I believe ultimately cheaper in the long run.

My scores went up 10% over the G35 I was running. I think it would have been the same with a custom built Para though.
