  1. I just went through this same dilemma. However, I went the cart route. I got the stroller for free (something good from the ex-wife :surprise:), spent $50 on the racks and another $20 on a cheap tool bag from Lowes that perfectly fits in the seat (my range bag was wwwaayyy too big). I used it at the KY Wildcat match last weekend and loved it! It folds up so it won't take much space when not in use...

If you check goodwill, craigslist, etc... the stroller should be pretty cheap...

All in all, it was much cheaper than several of the bags above, easier to carry what I need over long distances, and I made a cheap rain cover out of a tarp so it even keeps my equipment dry.

  2. I wear my normal USPSA pistol belt with an AR mag holder back behind the pistol mag pouches. I have my 4 six round shotgun shell carriers on a separate belt that I put on just above the pistol belt. The holster and mag pouches keep the shotgun carrier belt from sliding down. I keep the shell carriers in front, the pistol mags to the left, and the AR mag ends up slightly behind me.

I do this exact same thing. Last year I was taking shell caddy's on and off, messing with everything in between stages... SUCKED. I bought a 2" Web construction belt at Lowes and put my caddys on it... Seems to be working well

  3. Not sure about anyone else but this clock is not maving fast enough.........this is worse than being 7 years old and waiting for Santa to come down the chimney!

    Larry

I promised myself that I would not go to the log in screen till after 9 tonight... Last year it seemed like hours (actually, it was hours :surprise: ) for the clock to hit the magic time, then BAM! It was all over but the anxious waiting for the email from Linda.

Here's to everyone getting in  (-- right after me  --)

    Good luck everyone!

  4. I use an 11-87. It works great.

If you are getting a good deal, run with it. Shoot the hell out of it: learn what it likes / hates, etc... Mine loves the Federal bulk packs from Walmart, but occasionally hiccups on the Winchester bulk packs... Also, my ports were drilled out, and my shotty HATES full power slugs. It goes full on single shot... But hey, that what the managed recoil slugs are for.

I also like the recoil on it much better than the Benelli... More controllable.

  5. Part of it is mental. You are "not shooting weak hand or off handed". You are "shooting left handed".

Do not look at it as a handicap or test. Visualize it as what it is: shooting. If you go into it thinking it is hard, or that you will do bad: you will. Just say " I have to shoot this string left handed. Short. Simple. Positive.

Do not let negative thinking doom the shoot before you take it.

  6. I use a RRA NM for 3 gun matches with long distance shots (out 300 yards+). (Last year I shot all of my 3 gun matches in Tac Irons with that set up). This year, I took off the NM carry handle, added a scope+mount, a SJC Titan comp and a Magpul AFG attached to hand guards. It is heavy, but that translates into stability... It also was a tad long for tight stages. I really like the way it is set up... The only thing currently missing is a good scope (saving up the $$, using a cheap 1-4 Bushnell for now, but I am happy with the way it is performing). If I compete in Tac Irons this year, I will use this upper like I did last year.

After Fort Benning last year, I made a 16" piston upper for matches that have a lot of tight squeezes, or shots that don't go out past 200-250 yards (I have a red dot/ Aimpoint clone on it).

  7. +1 for Comp-Tac. They build a nice holster and have OUTSTANDING customer service.

They even sent candy with mine! And, who doesn't love candy?

Add that to the fact that they make great products, and I am a loyal customer.

*edited to add: I occasionally use a Blackhawk SERPA in 3 Gun matches if there is a lot of required movement during a stage just for the added "safety" factor of positive retention.
