This is just what I had built. 6" Schuemann bbl, 5" tri topped slide, short dustcover, Brazos slide racker.
The bbl looks like its ported but the holes don't go all the way through. I just wanted to lighten the bbl a little and it looks good.
Good looking gun Al - when my Limited gun is done I'll have even more sight radius but similar idea. Gunsmith is giving me a thinking-outside-the-box discount.
Thanks,
Be sure to post pics when its done. My guess: Trubor blank or unported comp bbl with sight at the end of the 'comp?'
I have a build right now that's going to be like that. I plan to have it cut like an open gun but without the ports going all the way through (like the other guy).

Nice! Any other options?

See subject.
Other than the TR-24. I'd like either drop markings or turrets. It doesn't look like many folks offer it.

Squeaks are BAD - slap some KY on that thing..

It will end 6 months AFTER the media stops mentioning gun control. Every time you see a news story on TV - reset that 6 month counter...
-
I also imagine that day is reserved in case there is a weather delay or other unfortunate "Murphy-like" situation.
-
No - I didn't know that was possible...

I'm definitely interested if .40 brass can be repurposed.
What's the case life like shooting converted .40 brass? (Lasts forever?)
-
Two questions - do you have to trim .357 Sig brass to shoot it safely repeatedly?
Can you make it from .40 brass even though it's shorter?
-
I guarantee the brass that's burning the piss out of your breech face would not do it to mine if I used Federal small pistol primers shooting minor (or major).
Don't ask me how I know that shooting small pistol magnum primers with minor loads will burn out a breech face.
Search for "Breech face erosion."

It will probably all work fine if dried out but I'd still put it in the practice pile.

I haven't had the same observation. Limited is usually the same size as Open in all of the majors I shot last year.

This is simple-
Techwear shirt = Pro
Tank Top = Amateur
Can I compete if I don't wear a shirt?

Grease on the barrel nut. Only grease.

Like this...

I enjoyed it. The small arms gear was current issue - they had some good advisers on that...

Can anyone direct me to any places that have items in stock? Everywhere I go they are out of everything (online)
Nope!
We did this in 2008 - it sucked. It'll be over in 4 months...
-
Are you going to leave it that full length or cut it back to 6"?
The barrel has rifling all the way down - I'm going to leave it there and stick a front sight out at the end.
That way, mine is longer than everyone else's 6".

The Geissele probably just got broken in and trigger pull dropped, Benny is right pulls below 3# that don't have a long pull can easily double with the loose shouldering.
AND THE PROBLEM IS?
You can control it - seek to the beginning of the video. It's my match lower with a 9mm upper, it's possible to make it happen only when you want it to...
-
No, he's talking about this:
Braxton1 (Username) from Camp Creek Gun Works is the one making it happen with me, I'm planning on having Shay make it pretty after it's up!
The rifling goes all the way to the end of the heavy barrel profile. (It is all one solid piece)
I intend on having the front sight mounted all the way at the end.
It's intended use is for Outlaw Multigun. Sounds like it's legal in limited but I'd even shoot it in open as I've not shot a USPSA major match seriously in a decade.

Long sold - please lock.
DERP!

They were undersized on a bolt I needed replacement gas rings on. Threw them out and used regular ones...

I don't carry a gun on dates or until before things have escalated. Grabbing someone's Glock on the first date may or may not be a turn-on.
If you're hugging girls while carrying and they can't tell - you need to hug more girls or carry a bigger gun. XD
I've told them I'm a shooter as soon as they ask what I do for a living - but never before.
I never initiatie conversations about firearms with non-shooters in order to be more "well-rounded" - but funny enough, people will ALWAYS ask me about shooting in settings with new friends and family. (Usually for shooting lessons, advice, etc )

They build them sturdy for a reason.
I haven't lit one off in my 1050 YET but I'm sure I will soon.
I blew about 5 in my 650 over several years.
It's a hell of a way to get your attention.
I think wearing muffs is taking things a little too far though.

With the recent surges in modern rifle ownership - I hope we can drive people towards 3-Gun.
Ammo has to come down though and these stages are pretty short...
