  1. You made me think of something. I use my Glocks for USPSA/IDPA... so for this, I like the thinner .100" front sight. It allows me to get enough accuracy but I don't have to struggle to see that the front sight is in the notch. If I was looking for sights that may be better for slow, bullseye type shooting- the wider front sight might be better. My guess is the OP is not using the G35 for bullseye. yeah this is for USPSA.....i've shot a 34 with the .100 and liked it alot. like you said good for fast aquisitions.
  2. i sent them an email but haven't gotten a reply yet. their "sight chart" list both (.300 and .285) as options for the 35 which is why i asked the question here. I found out the hard way.. I ordered the .285" sight first. Didn't give me the adjustment I needed... the rear adjustable didn't go down enough. When I bought the .300" later- the person told me that's what they recommend for the G34/G35. FWIW I adjust my sights so the POI is exactly at the top of my front sight. perfect....that is exactly what i was looking for. thanks for the help
  3. i sent them an email but haven't gotten a reply yet. their "sight chart" list both (.300 and .285) as options for the 35 which is why i asked the question here.
  4. yeah dawson lists the .300 or .285....i was trying to find out which is best for the 35 while using the blade-tech DOH since that is what i own. Was curious if the .285 would work but I haven't seen anything on that one with the 35. i know some guys posted about needing taller sights with the 34 to get the POI down.
  5. what height do you have for the front sight? .300 what holster are you running and was there any clearance problems with that front sight?
  6. what height do you have for the front sight?
  7. i know some of you guys have to have a 35 with dawsons.....help a newbie out please......
  8. thanks for the info.....i'm a new shooter to USPSA (3-4 matches) and this thread has given me alot to think about.
  9. i am thinking about getting this dawson adjustable rear sight (there are apparently 2 different versions) and my question is what height are you guys running for the front dawson fiber optic? there is .285 and .300 and i hear you can get even higher if needed. i see several post about people with 34's needing .300 or higher to zero in the sights but what about the 35 as you are dealing with 2 different trajectories. i was also going to go with the .100 width on the front sight as opposed to the .125, any opinion here? thanks
  10. ok...that's what i originally thought but it seemed like alot of time. just wanted to make sure i was on the right track. thanks for the quick help for a noob.
  11. so in that case you have 7.5 seconds to make one shot from the prone position? so you would set the timer for 7.5s par and "make ready", beep, draw, assume prone position and fire within 7.5s then repeat 5 times as shown?
  12. how do these times work that are listed on the Ronin / Cent TX Stnd drills? for example: ======================================================== PART 1 50 YARDS * 1 shot on A, prone -- 7.5 secs -- 5x (5 rnds) * 2 shots on B, standing -- 5.5 secs - 4x (8 rnds) 35 YARDS * 1 shot, reload, 1 shot on C -- 5.5 secs - 6x (12 rnds) TOTAL HITS: A=5 B=8 C=12 TOTAL ROUNDS/POINTS: 25/125 ========================================================
  13. yeah it appears you have to go over max load values on WST to get major, was just curious if that was the case shooting in a glock 35.
  14. I am looking for some majors loads (for a glock 35) using WST or titegroup powders. I will be using 180gr Zero HP. Please include OAL and if you load was shot in a glock 35 (or similar). thanks
  15. what pistol/barrel length were these fired through to yeild 135-140 PF?
  16. what pistol was this out of? what was your OAL for these loads? i am looking for a minor load for a glock 35 using WST and 180gr FMJs or HPs.
  17. like they said....just to keep this equal, like USPSA production. IDPA is still a game with different rules (you keep score, there is a clock and a winner).
  18. my buddy got me into it early this year....so 29. i got to shoot a few matches then had baby #2 so not much free time the 2nd half of the year b/t her and work. i hope to get to shoot more in 2010.
  19. Thanks. If anyone has the ready tactical mag pouches and owns a glock .40, and a springfield XD (or knows someone with them) could you test it out for me?
  20. will a ready tactical mag pouch for a glock 35 will also hold mags for a springfield XD40. i will own both and will usually shoot the 35 in USPSA and IDPA but i would like to occasionally use my carry weapon (XD40SC) to shoot idpa and not have to buy extra mag pouches. any help would be great....
