I have the Extreme and have been using mostly CCI and Winchester SPP without any problems.
(right at 2# with very little reset)
I don't remember the shipping time but IMHO Thursday is cutting it too close for a trigger change and getting familiar to it.
YMMV

A little over two weeks away and there are only approx. 30 shooters squaded. The largest group is coming from Green Valley, they also shot Fall Classic last weekend and are at the Il. Sectional this weekend.
Way to go Green Valley!

AA replied to my voice message with an email questioning if I had the correct mags. I sent them pictures and a video showing the two mags being able to come out without being released compared to the other three.
Now they are "confused" that three can work since the four pack I purchased extra came from the same batch.
The good news is that the mags come with a life time warranty.
So, I measured my factory mags and the AA mags. On my scale, at the mag release catch, the factory mags are 1.250", the AA mags that don't fail measure 1.235" and the one that do fail measure 1.230".
Basically, they're too small and I'm lucky that three work.
I asked for and RMA so I can swap these out.
The new mag well arrived and it fits really nice. Apparently it's meant to work with the size 1 grip so I modified #3 to work since that fits my hand better. At least the conversion mags will work with this new Pistol Gear mag well without and mods. I think I'll hold off taping and extension onto these AA mags until I get the bugs worked out.

Ben's website has a few drills listed that may be of interest to you.

OK, I took a new shooter to the range yesterday to sight in his SR9c w/laser. Zeroed the sight and had him run a few rounds through the gun. Gave him some pointers so he could dry fire using the laser and work on his trigger control with that heavy SR9c trigger.
Then I let him run some rounds (50) through my XDm, PRP Extreme 2 1/4# trigger and AA .22 conversion.
Five A's in the head and five A's in the body, gotta love on good trigger.
Next the plate rack and video of him mowing it down.
During this range session I did witness a few failures to fire, didn't pick up a round.
Well tonight I just had to stop by the range, it's on my way home, and launch a couple hundred rounds with draws and Bill drills at seven yards. (Just a short session since we still have daylight and good weather.)
I discovered that two mags can come loose and drop down causing the FTF after being fired. I've isolated this down to the ones' that I can wiggle and disengage from the mag release. I left a message with AA on the way home and hope they'll contact me about this problem.
While at the range tonight a shooting pal dropped by when he seen my car and I had him run a mag through it. He like the (PRP) trigger and was pleased with how the gun ran and with the FO front sight and blacked out rear. (Sights will be an individual preference)
I did clean and lube the gun before last night's shooting, so maybe 500 rounds before cleanings. .22's are a dirty round and there's no need to tempt fate.
So far I'm pleased.
New mag well expected this Friday and then I'll try reloads. Forget about slamming the mag in and dropping the slide by itself, not happening with this kit. Not a problem.

Just caught this thread and went to see what You Tube had.
Here's what Travis said a few years ago.
Apparently Todd likes to trap the swinger too.But that tennis ball and air soft sounds fun. I'm sure I'll be trying that this winter when it's too cold and snowy to go outside.

Ok, second range session and 300 flawless rounds though this kit. I really like the green FO front sight and the blacked out rear sight. I've been shooting an M&P so this XDm will take some time to get used to but shooting .22's will let me get plenty of trigger time for cheap. (I stocked up on .22's six years ago when I found what my AA 1911 kit liked.)
I don't like the Black Ice mag well I bought, when removing the plastic insert so these mags will seat I cracked it. Tonight I ordered the Pistol Gear Unlimited from Springer Precision.
The AA conversion slide is wider than the factory, really resembles a Glock, and fits tightly in my Blade Tech Black Ice holster. Loosening the screws helped but I think I'll slowly file the inside of the holster to give it some relief.
I did plenty of draws at five and seven yards as well as several Bill Drills.
So far my fasted 5 yard draw was .84 and fastest 5 yard Bill Drill was 1.84.
After I get the holster smoothed out and learn to index this gun things will get better and I'll move back further.

Yup, I've screwed up a few mag loads when they're full. Now all the mags I carry on my belt are downloaded by one round. As you know it's just easier to seat the mag with one less round.

Mainly target not done any competition shoots in 10 years
Welcome.
What kind of shooting did you do? The season's kind of winding down but there's still plenty going on.

Yup, too bad it's so far for you to make it.Sounds awesome!!! I wish I wasnt so far away (west central wi) a great outfit to support as well
It is a very long way for basically a Level 1 type event, but with a great cause.
Locally, the area shooters are focused on the historic Fall Classic at COPS in Rolla then followed by the Il. Sectional. No question, two great events that I just can't fit into my schedule.
Lucky for me, this year I will get to join in on the hosefest that BenchrestSTL has long been a supporter of.

I can't answer your question but wish I had never spent my money on my Dawson magwell for the very reason you mentioned. I didn't know there were better options available, my mistake for not researching more.
If I were you I'd get something from Springer. By next year my Dawson will be gone and I'll have a Springer product on my XDm.

I just ordered a Dawson Glock FO front site and will let you know when in comes in.
The rear sight will get blacked out w/Sharpie.
My guess the slide is alum. (I'm at work, gun's at home.)
Mags pics later tonight.
I can't say what gun it will work on. I took a large chance that it would work on my 5.25" 9mm with PRP Extreme and got lucky.
My slide has 6/14 marked on it. I don't know if that production date makes a difference on what gun it'll work on.
It would be nice to know what the date on the other guys kit has on it. (The one that didn't work w/mods)

Yeah I know my splits are bad, hopefully this kit will help me work through that problem.

Okay, the conversion kit arrived today and was left on my front porch. Which is kind of dumb because they required a signature and the magazines are at the post office so I have to go there to pick up the extra mags.
Installation was a breeze, removerd the slide and install theirs. When pulling the trigger after racking the slide I could hear the distinct click that the sear was releasing the striker. I loaded the mag and try to chamber a round but because I screwed up and bought the Dawson magwell it would not insert far enough. I popped the plastic insert off and tried it again, it worked just fine. ? l loaded a mag with CCI blazer ammo and went to the range.
Success! It worked just fine with my Powder River precision extreme trigger. Rapid fired all 10 rounds without a glitch. ??
When I have more time I will do more testing as far as sites and such.

I bought a 1911 conversion kit from them about six years ago. It worked pretty well until it blew up when it fired out of battery. They took it back, gave me a loaner after several weeks of doing without, sent me a new kit and let me keep the loaner. So I felt OK about dealing with them.
Now I ordered this kit and emailed them to correct an error I made when I gave them my email address. Since I didn't get a reply I called and the gal said "oh yea, "we got the correction". OK, fine. Now I'm waiting to hear from them.
Yesterday I had a missed call and a message saying their email's to me gets returned, and that they're sending the mags from their end and another dealer is shipping me the kit.
I received an email from USPS that a package from Advantage arms (my mags) was in their system and sent as Priority 2-day delivery. (strange USPS can send an email to me based on the one I supplied to Advantage Arms but they can get one out.)
When I tried to call I just get voice mail and of course no replies to my emails. At this point I'm not feeling good about dealing with this outfit.

IIRC, In the past there's a field course to run through with a par time. Once you hit the par time you're done and then the misses are tallied.
Here's Diana at last years match.

And here's another view point of the 2012 cancer charity match.

Looks like the good friends from Columbia, MO have jumped on board. It'll be good to see those fine folks again.
Hopefully the locals will join in and help fill this match up.
-
Great point!
I jumped in and ordered a kit and extra mags. I'll report back when I get my goodies.

OK, I'm signed up and getting a shirt.
I gave $5 to Practiscore and have two, maybe three more shooters going.
Looking forward to another awesome match at BRRC.
Thank you for hosting this match for such a great cause.

OK, it doesn't work with a light trigger. Rim fires have been known to require a heavy hammer strike. If you put a heavier hammer spring in does it work?
I know that's not what you were wanting to do but will it work then?
Edit to add: When did you order yours? Everything I see on their website now reads for pretty much stock guns only.

When I fit my PRP trigger I didn't keep taking it apart to trim down the over travel stop (on the back of the trigger that hits the frame)
I used a piece of crocus cloth (flexible sand paper) to trim down the trigger stop while it was installed.
This reminds me, make sure you follow the PRP instructions about pushing the slide down to make sure it releases the striker. Cold weather does have a dramatic effect on these plastic guns. What works when it's warm out may not work when it's cold.
Been there done that.
PRP has it out there for those the pay attention.
