Alliants's website does indeed show up to 8 gr of Unique with 180 gr Gold Dots... I'd certainly back off a half grain to startif using a different bullet profile of same weight...

By the 20th match or so, you will no longer be nervous, jittery, or really anything.... SInce I never win, that also takes the pressure off! :-)

takes me 5.8 gr of 231 with 200 gr RNFP (1.22" OAL) for measured 840 fps in both a Glock 21 and Smith M&P 45 (4.5") 5,1 gr of 231 good for 735 fps with 230 fmj at 1.25" OAL

Although I guess it is considered wide for Novak, stangely, it seems as wide as a standard GLock rear sight notch, at .145"...

In what pistol? STI/SVI? With comp? Ramped barrel, I presume?

You will certainly notice the difference attempting to use remanufactured UltraMax .40 or 9x19 ammo if using a tighter/match grade barrel...fully 60% of it will not drop to at least flush with the hood... Many remanfuctured ammo producers are not fully resizing the round low enough... Occasionally, even a Lee FCD will not get out the bulge right above the extractor groove.... Check all ammo first!

I've used my GLock 21 many times in both Limited and CDP... Novak makes a nice Novak Wide Notch rear site, and I have a TruGlo TFO green front sight, and an OEM 3.5 connector... My Limited mags, 3 of my mags have Arrendondo +4 extensions, for a 17+1 capacity... The rest...unfortunately... is up to me!

If a Limited pistol, I'd use it as is.....honestly, it needs nothing that 1/2 hour of practice per night changing mags won't accomplish...

If you know you will be reloading, then *definitely* get the 35 over the 34! The .40 can easily be downloaded to 'less than 9x19' levels of recoil to compete effectively in Production, but the 9x19 can never be loaded hot to make Major in Limited, or L-10.

After the 3rd or 4rth time of speed reload /2nd or 3rd mags falling out of my GLock after the next shot due to my failure to give the the Arrendondo equipped GLock 21 (17 rd!) or 35 mags (20 rd!) a full vigorous seat, ... I highly recommend simply downloading them by...1 round! (I still barney up at load and make ready, as there is plenty of time to ensure mag is fully seated prior to reholstering)

Sounds like the RO was remiss in his duties. That's definitely not what the rules call for. You drop a loaded pistol, including from the holster, and you are indeed headed to Dairy Queen....
