  1. I tried the original plunger. Slightly better but that wasn't it. The reset is just not very precise. I wonder if it's the trigger bar against the BOLO. I didn't spend any time polishing or cleaning out the slot the BOLO would fit in because I wasn't planning on using a disconnector. I polished all the flats otherwise. I may take a look at that later. I didn't open up any holes in the frame. Not even sure what holes you were referring to.
  2. I just ordered a new sear. What the heck why not. I can mess around with one and have the other stock. I do think that perhaps there is some additional fitting needed with the BOLO. Reset isn't very positive but really it likely won't affect my shooting just my level of frustration
  3. The interesting thing is that with the henning trigger, NO disconnector and the reduced plunger spring the reset was very positive. I added the disconnector and the factory trigger and the reset is barely there. Just strange to me. My bigger concern is really the trigger itself and not the reset. If you're saying I have too much travel then something must not be right. I'm wondering if a new sear or trigger bar is in order. All of this is really to do nothing that will help me shoot better. Sometimes I wonder what's wrong with me.
  4. Then it must be the Henning one. (plunger spring) Here is a pic overload. Also a video. Ignore my daughter's toy making noise. And the really annoying undersized pin makes it a pain in the ass to put back the sear cage.
  5. PD plunger spring. The plunger is polished. I stoned the sear and polished it. I may have hit it with 1k as well but can't remember. The trigger bar was hit with 800 grit, 1k, 1500 and polished. I didn't do much with the sear cage. I can snap pics.
  6. I didn't touch the BOLO or hammer at all. Is that sear or trigger bar?
  7. I tried it both with the Henning and with the stock. The reset is very light. I'll post a video of it shortly. I got the flat Tanfoglio SAO trigger with travel stops. Yet to arrive. None of this really "worth" it but I have to question what is now $240 worth of different parts for what may not be much if any different than what I had before. As far as polishing... This is the most polished gun I own now. (didn't any of the new parts yet). I can't imagine polishing any more than I have.
  8. So...I received my Titan hammer and BOLO. My Tanfo trigger is still in the mail. I tested the hammer and BOLO and there was no affect on the trigger pull. The reset didn't change except that it was much less positive. It barely "clicked". I removed the BOLO and the reset became much more positive. The Titan Hammer alone seemed not to have any affect on the trigger. (Break nor pull) The downside of the hammer is that the safety no longer engages but I guess I need to modify a few things for that to work. I feel like I wasted that $165.
  9. I'm going to knock ESP Master off the list. I'm done with SSP. So SAO is ok (allowable modification) and I believe the Titan hammer will be ok too because I believe it's off other Tanfo production guns. The rest is internal. Maybe I build a CDP gun next.
  10. I've considered it. Before I go to an open gun I wanted to finish off IDPA as a 5 gun master...but I can build the gun first. I've looked into STI's but now that I have the CZ bug things may change.
  11. I hope. I was thinking of another project Tanfo... Not sure which one. Just to modify the piss out of it. I'll find time to shoot it later. Thank you for your all your help.
  12. It's like having 2 TV's next to each other at Best Buy. You can the difference. When you only have 1 TV it doesn't make much of a difference... Here lies the problem. The SP01 is mine too. I finished modifying that one in 2 days and am itching for more to do at night.
  13. I'll be completely honest. I have a newborn. It's been really hard to get out and shoot. I used to shoot (a few times a week) and compete quite a bit. (at least once a month weather permitting) After my daughter goes down to sleep I have the night to myself so I can have fun with projects while my wife is fast asleep as well. Having these parts and projects is my sanity whether or not I think it's going to make me any better. I just hide in the basement and swap parts and polish etc. I actually am looking for more project guns to work on. Suggestions welcome. The Tanfoglio has been the perfect project gun. It's pretty amazing what it can turn into.
  14. And someone mentioned in a prior post that the limited pro already comes with a one piece sear? Here is the SP-01 trigger travel and break. (It has no FPB) Here is the Tanfo Limpro with the Henning flat trigger
  15. Ok so I'm trying to gather my parts list again. Thanks for the help again. It's been difficult trying to get this thing perfect. EGD Xtreme Titan hammer http://patriotdefense.com/product/egd-xtreme-titan-hammer/ Hammer pin (Can I re-use my old one?) A flat trigger like this one http://patriotdefense.com/product/tanfoglio-xtreme-trigger-sa/ The BOLO http://patriotdefense.com/product/tanfoglio-optimized-bolo-interrupter/ A reduced power trigger return spring (since I have the Henning I didn't need one of these before) http://patriotdefense.com/product/tanfoglio-optimized-trigger-return-spring-reduced-power/ A one piece (also known as the "long" sear) http://benstoegerproshop.com/eaa-tanfoglio-witness-one-piece-long-sear-9-1/ One thing I have a question about is the BOLO. The BOLO is essentially a replacement for the interrupter correct? My Limpro does not have an interrupter anymore since it was converted to SAO. Neither does the CZ SP01 that was converted to SAO with the CGW parts. So I thought that the BOLO didn't serve a purpose once you went that route...and that it was only used in a DA/SA gun. Am I way wrong on this?
  16. Thanks for the response. The Henning trigger is the perfect reach for me. (I need to explore options with this trigger first) I wasn't aware that tanfoglio had a Sao option. I'll look into it and maybe replace. Am I correct in assuming that the Hammer and extreme sear have to be used together? If I am SAO the bolo will have no effect right? 17. So I have been loving this gun since I made these changes... Until I tried an SP01 with some Cajun parts in it) adjustable sear and their race hammer) Now my trigger break feels like mush compared to it. The SP01 is a frozen carror...where my limpro is a soaked celery stick. I'm. Thinking it's the sear and hammer hooks. Would I see any benefit going with an EG sear? New hammer? Again I have the Henning single action trigger. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks. The LRN doesn't spin freely and I think it sits a bit high in the chamber. The 147gr sits deeper and does seem to spin. Some fall out freely. Others don't. So I think I'm going to have to have the barrel reamed. Here are the 2 different rounds. Green on the left is the 115gr. (LRN coated) gold on the right is a montana gold 147 gr FMJ I don't have my reloading sheet in front of me but I believe the OAL is 1.130
  19. I tried Permatex Red. It's supposed to set in 10-20 minutes but it didn't and started moving. I had to wipe off and went with Loctite Red 271.
  20. So I took my brand new Tanfo out to the range today. First time shooting it. I have done quite a bit of polishing but nothing that I believe should cause this type of malfunction. I have a LRN coated bullet that is similar in OAL and power as Winchester White Box. When chambering a round the slide doesn't go into battery. It's about 1/4" out. I can't get it into battery without tapping the back of the slide with plastic hammer. Pushing with my thumbs was not enough force. I can't eject the round without hitting the front of the slide with a plastic hammer. Pulling with a gloved hand could not extract the round. I tried my 147gr FMJ (has a flat tip) and it goes into battery fine and extracts fine as well. No issues with that ammo. I come from the Glock world where I don't really have to think about the type of ammo I use. I've never had a problem with anything. Is this issue an OAL issue? A barrel reaming issue? Extractor issue? It seems odd to me that one ammo literally has an issue every single round and the other one ran flawless for roughly ~100 rounds. These are both made on the same press with the same dies. I use a standard 9mm carbide decap and resize die from Dillon. Then my last station is a Lee Factory Crimp die (which does a full case resize as well). So my cases are sized twice on the press. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  21. Thanks for all your tips. I'll tackle that today.
  22. Thanks for that info. I polished the firing pin, the hammer strut but didn't polish the firing pin channel nor the hammer spring channel. I'm actually wondering how the F to do that effectively.
