Got it. Thanks for the advice.
What height front sight did you get?
Thanks for the help.
I was considering getting a rear sight but I have read about people having problems with the rear sight coming loose with a few brands. I forget which.
I also like the ability to adjust the rear sight.
A front sight will cost me $40 and I can just do it myself.
Whereas the front and rear (adjustable) will run me more like $100 and then I'd either have to buy a rear sight tool or get scammed by someone who will charge $25 to "install" it for me.
I'm a little torn on whether I want to spend the money on this gun as I have a tickle to buy an open gun and forget production alltogether. So trying to keep spending down on the G34 until I make that decision.
If you want adjustable sights, get the Dawson adjustable rear and a .300 high front. The set comes with a punch to change the rear sight and a wrench to change the front. Use blue loc-tite in the front site threads and in the rear set screws and dovetail and they will not leave the gun unless you remove them.
Changing the rear site is not that difficult. A brass punch and a small hammer will do it.
You really don't need adjustable sites. Both the basic set of fixed Dawsons or Heinies with the right front site (.205 high for the Dawson I think) have always hit to point of aim with every reload or factory round I have tried in both the G34 and G17.
Yep, I experimented a lot. If you do a search You will probably find a couple of my old posts about Glock sites.
