  1. Sorry for the HUGE delay. This is the best pic I could get. I don't think I have much of a macro feature and my photog skills absolutely blow. Anyway, the biggest ding on the face of the muzzle is at the 9 o'clock position, although there is a smaller one at 6 o'clock as well that isn't visible in pictures.

  2. I'm thinking of picking up a LNIB SP01 Tactical (I'd prefer to not have the decocker, but the price is right). I'm just curious what kind of 25 yard groups this pistol is capable of.

Sub inch groups should be easy with quality ammo or handloads off a benchrest.

Seriously? That's outstanding if so...I mean bullseye gun quality! Thanks for your input.

  3. The crown on my Match 40 is similar to the what the original poster describes. Mine shoots very well so far. I'm more concerned with the ding/dent on the very end (face) of my barrel...it looks pretty bad (came that way from the factory), but fortunately doesn't quite touch the crown.

    Could we see some pictures?

Sorry, Leo, I just realized you were talking to me, not 10mmjunkie. I'll see what I can do about some pics later, but I'm not a good photographer at all...so the dings might not be very visible in any pics I take.

  5. Thanks for the honest review. I remember several years ago, when these new, ultra uber coatings started gaining notoriety, starting with Bodycote and their boron carbide finishes...and one by one they never seemed to live up to the hype. Hard chrome isn't the be-all, end-all, but it has certainly stood up to the test of time.

Glock's Tennifer sure seems to hold up as well.

  6. I recently scored an Elite Match in .40 (non rail, LPA adj sights). Here are my questions...I'd appreciate any answers you would provide:

    1) Does my barrel have polygonal rifling and/or how can I tell if it does? Glocks claim polygonal rifling, but they look like regular rifling to me compared to the HK barrels.

    2) Are all the barrels that EAA sells now 'match grade' stainless barrels? In other words, are they the same quality as the barrel I have in my Match? Witness barrels

    3) I have an older, small-frame 9mm Witness (circa 1998). Will the full size barrel on EAA's sight above fit my Witness? The upper lugs on my current 9mm barrel are peened and rolled over on the edges.

    Thanks!
