I'm with the other that 8.7 N350 will likely be a "hot" load. I run 8.4 N350 at 1.240 OAL behind the MTG 121 IFP's in my Bedell Shorty 38SC and get 1.72 - 1.74 PF.
Relative to your question, the typical "rule of thumb" is a lighter bullet needs more powder (to travel faster) to make the same PF as the heavier bullet. Shape of the bullet, surface area and a myriad of other factors can also influence this "rule of thumb". Therefore using a chrono is the best way to tell what the gun likes.

Is the handle cycling all the way down? Do you have the large pistol primer plunger in instead of the small?

I've seen the tarnish many times as I use WSP exclusively. No issues, just oxidation of the metal. I tend to notice the tarnish on my loaded rounds that have sat around for a while.

I just received my SV IMM Open gun and absolutely love it! Brandon and the guys at SV are great to deal with and this is my 3rd SV. I think a single stack is next you'll have to post pics when it finally arrives. What kind of delivery time are they quoting you?

Coco - you need to little file a little off the area after the hook. You can also compress the front spring to get it to lighten up.

The Masters and GM shooters I shoot with all shoot this standing. Call me lazy, but it seems they already figured out what is fastest so I just follow suit. It seems that the table would get in the way of the draw if you were sitting. I don't necessarily follow suit with the M and GM's on long courses because my skill sets are different than theirs.

There are volumes of data on this in the reloading portion of this site, but my 38 SC load is 10.1g 3N38 with WSR primers and Montana Gold 121 IFP out to 1.240 OAL.

My 650 will load anything. I think the issue with the CCI's is the hard primer cup can be more sensitive to seat.

The effectiveness of the practice, be it live or not is even more important than rounds down range.
Too much self esteem is not a good thing just prove yourself, don't rant that "what if" ... I would be the best there ever was. I call that an excuse!
