    I fixed gun and right now work perfect!!

    Change ejector,extractor problem solved!

    I use extractor and ejector from my another SV 40 s&w setup , run with same ammo and magazine and he work !

    The Frame can be cut and will not be noticed i.e. blended.

    Fundamentally, what you want accomplished can be done by a great gunsmith.

    Everyone has an opinion on who is great so they can chime in on topic.

    The way it looks the optic will go on the frame so the mating of the slide, barrel and frame is critical. You might not notice any issue until you start shooting at 50 yards or so. Just my opinion.

    Personally, I think Don is exceptional.

    I sent him mail today with picture , still wait response from him.

    Enough. He says he wants to convert it to open. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, get back on topic and offer help and advice on how to convert it to open or don't post.

    regarding his problems with jams i'm pretty convinced it is all related to mag tuning OR ammo COAL .....in both cases a little more research would get the problem solved.

    Ok ....gun is not for sale (have my last name serial and Stay in my house)

    Gun is lubed and oiled with best lubricant on the market....

    Question is can I convert 5.4 into open...I want to remove TopEnd,ejector etc.....

    own a couple SVI's, you call Brandon? guaranteed to get you straight.

    Yes I call him but front desk says is not in office,I try couple times more and make decision SV is NOT option .

    I try slide and barell from my another SV just to see what's differences I can find.

    Silver frame looks like is not Standard ...that's a reason why I ask does anyone know can I convert this 5.4 into Open gun( with another slide and barrel)

    Lots of problem with this gun...

    As in what kind of problems specifically? I've been thinking of ordering one for some time and I'm curious as to what "lots of problems" means?

    I explain in another thread but Moderators clear my post "Customer Care Issue" says...

    I have 5.4 SV factory build...

    I want to convert this gun into OPEN beacouse I'm not happy with this gun at all.

    Any one know which slide to order? Frame looks like standard but I'm pretty sure have some differences ...

    Option to gun go again in SV factory is NOT option...

    Top quality! Perfection! I have one and wait 2nd in few month.

    Must find solution for 3rd becomes Brandon is angry on me :)

    Salient :) guys must change many many diapers before come close to SV.

    I've searched the web all over and can't find any praise about a Salient and the games we shoot.

    I'm in the market for an SV. Gun builder is done, quote is ready, I'm prepared for the wait etc etc, so someone that actually runs a salient 2011 and has experienced both an SV and Salient please tell me if the Salient is truely a better running gun than an SV?

    I'm fully ready to buy the SV but am open minded about the purchase meaning if there something more better or equivalent in quality and function then I want to hear about it.

    So if anyone has actual experience with both please share your thoughts. Please don't reply with suggestions to buy an sti or anything else. I'm wanting to hear specifically about the Salient vs SVI. Thanks guys!
