I shoot long guns as an LH operator. Rt side ejection offers way more options for lw bcg and other components.

Ensure your gas system is tight at the block and bolt...You can also make a homemade gas buster charging handle with some permatex to further mitigate gas puffs.

My Dremel has been on the inside of the hg. Don't want to grind on screw heads...no easy access magnifier light and lense not easy to get in there. Not as much contact as it had at first but still some slight contact evident by pushing on bbl while holding hg...seems contact at lower and upper nuts.

My Tilley is great for last 4 years...if you need more neck protection make a flap of a hanky or a cool max type cover..wish there were more options on the Tilley for color tho.. like a Silver gray.... mine is khaki.Great hat.

Watching... I have had the same issue. New series 7 Slr clamp on adj gb..a great piece of work btw...and the Slr ultra light 15 inch hg...Also a great piece...With GB properly aligned and adjusted, still some contact at hg at what appears to be gb nut heads and screw at tension flap nut at gb adjust area.btw .750 gb area.

Check your spring clips for proper install and or if one or both are missing.

Replies duly noted by all...What an unfortunate event...for the shooters affected as such...Certainly, this was a call that made things hard on the MD , staff and shooters..and a hard pill to swallow for all affected. ..

How many shooters were affected that could not return the next date??? How many stages affected for weather and or dnf?

Exhaust port for possible case head separation??

Start your research into the features and options you think you want in the pistol. Review new prices on those guns. Watch this forum for used guns and you will know what they are selling for. Have your money ready to go so can jump on a deal. If I knew years ago what I know now -I would save my money for a gently used SV Or go complete custom.

The STI short block full dust cover assy I purchased in .40 Cal in 2007 as well as a stock Trojan purchased in late 2009 also 40 cal continue to provide excellent service and accuracy and are well fitted assemblies.I think there are some better barrel choices out there...but there is no need to change the barrel unless there is a valid reason to do so....imho...

I have the PT frame and PT alum grip. I went with an SV ss competition beavertail which fit exceptionally well to the PT grip and frame. The PT grip fits perfectly on the PT frame.

The new unit may also be a little heavier than stock.Ensure your lifter spring is strong and the pivot points properly clean and lubed. Also. Some times angling the lifter toward the left can be beneficial.
