  1. I waited 6 weeks for a Matt Minks CZ. Gun came in Monday. I have been dry firing and it was great. Trigger is silky smooth. Went to the range today and shot 120 rds. I never leave the range with ammo but I did not want to keep shooting it. I guess I have shot the Glock too long.

  2. My girlfriend wants to start shooting with me. She has very small hands and Im worried about her reaching the trigger. Im thinking maybe a Sig320 but have not been able to try one with a small grip frame. What are some choices for small hands?

  3. IDPA is defensive shooting so the stages are set up to test defensive skills. You don't get beat because the rules are stupid. You loose because your skill set is lower than the guys that that beat you.

10rd limit is not a problem. This is a test of your skills. If you want to look good in front of your friends then practice .

The COF is set so your skills can be tested against others. Look at this as advanced drills.

  4. I hear a lot of people that complain about all the rules. Most of the time the same people can't follow them. I will admit when you can reload is a little fuzzy.

Even with all the terrible scars from IDPA shooting I'm much faster and can think while I'm running the gun. I would rather have the skill set that I have now to defend myself than before I started IDPA.

We all compete with the same rules. If people would stop complaining and practice they would be better off.

  5. G34. For around $100, you can add Warren tactical sights, 13lb recoil spring and tweak some springs if you want. This can give you a trigger less than 4lbs and gun is very reliable, fast and accurate.

And points naturally if you are goose hunting.

    Just sayin.

    I hunt goose eggs!

Sorry I know it's corny but I couldn't help it.

  6. I have goals that I want to hit. So far I'm knocking them out. I see me getting bored with IDPA but still want to shoot with friends I have made. I don't enjoy the glock but I'm fast with it. The goal is to win div at the MS state match in June. I want to start USPSA as a GM in 2017. Shooting a revo for fun in idpa would keep me interested.

  7. I m very serious about competing and training with my glock. Moving from IDPA to USPSA in 2017. I would like buy a Revo and play in IDPA. Just wondering if the grip angle is similar enough to transition from one to the other. Im not worried about being the best with the revolver. I just don't want it to hurt my shooting with the Glock. I need something to spend my small tax return on this year.

  8. Sound like you need to practice shooting on the move more. When IDPA is not fun it is usually because someone is making a lot of mistakes. Knowing the rules and practicing for what you see in matches is key to doing well in IDPA

  9. Im starting to have some the same problems. Im way to aggressive with my thumb on the slide lock reload. It took pivot head glasses for me to realize what is happening. In practice im fine most of the time but when the adrenaline hits in a match it happens. Im just planning to train to rid myself of this problem.

  10. The Glock is very easy to reload thanks to the plastic gun and plastic mag. The CZ , S&W, XDM etc not so much. If you use a mag well then the advantage is lost. The trigger will never be as good as 1911 or CZ. I want to use my talents and equipment to the best advantage. Its just my opinion but the Glock is best in SSP. In the end it is always the Indian and not the bow and arrow.
