  2. Lugnut, SP02309 G17/G34 9mm 10 round mags only SP02323 G22/G35 .40 10 round mags (I've seen this listed for G17/G34 10 rounders too) Here's what I have for "SP02323" SP02323 Magazine Spring-G20-G22 10-rd mags only SP00448 G17/G34 9mm Hi cap mags (I've seen this listed for G22/G35 hi caps as well) Don't have this one listed for G22/G35. G22- SP 02323 10rnd mags only G35- SP 02551 SP02551 G22/G35 .40 hi cap mags- 11 coils for .40 hi caps also G31 and G37 Is this what you guys have found? Should I use the SP02323 for my G34 as well? No go with SP 02309. Is the SP00448 too weak for the .40 hi cap mags? This is listed for 15rnd mags so it should be "extra" power for 10rnd mags if I understand the question correctly. Or am I making too much of this mess? I don't feel like having ANY issues at matches and I need to replace these springs. Glock direct really didn't help clear any of this up either. That's how they've rolled for a long time Brownells sells a tool for taking floor plates off.... it's ok. I think the "GTUL" is the way to go (from looks, I don't have one yet). It's not a big deal to do, you probably don't need to do it, but I say go for it. Hope this helps. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=20733/Product/MAGAZINE_TOOL_for_GLOCK_reg_ http://www.impactguns.com/store/gtul.html
  3. Probably gonna slow you down a little by adding wind resistance. Looks really cool, how long did that take? I know you probably didn't have a clock running but I'm just curious about the time it took, thanks.
  4. +1 on the above... great site. To answer your question: there are kits available for this "conversion" I've used the Tromix kit and it worked well. You have to remove the old trigger-guard (not really a big deal) and the new trigger guard from your conversion kit will "move" everything forward. You need to replace the trigger/hammer and the rest of your "nine" parts for compliance, my only advice is to have your conversion welded in place. You don't have to do anything to the receiver itself... it was built as an ak then bastardized to be imported as a sporter. What I mean is the "hole" for the "new" trigger location is already there, just covered up. Here's a good link with more info: http://www.zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=45781&start=0 Note: the grip you'll usually see is the "SAW" style that tapco sells, if you want an "AR" style grip you'll either need to: 1. Modify a Magpul "MOE" grip to fit. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2009/06/24/how-to-fit-a-magpul-moe-grip-to-an-ak/ 2. Order the ACE conversion piece (about 7.00). http://riflestocks.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=93_98&products_id=326&osCsid=d975c67531276c71d9b052de83d03e2a 3. Use the ERGO grip. http://www.ergogrips.net/item-detail.cfm?ID=4139-BK&storeid=1ℑ=ergoakclas.gif&CFID=41127198&CFTOKEN=72714876 4. R&R racing lower receiver/trigger frame conversion. http://www.randrtargets.com/images/product_images/Grip%20Frames%20003.jpg For the money you can't beat the ACE part, that's what I went with.... but the R&R would be mine if the price was "righter"
  5. Thanks for the suggestions... I will contact them since I'm already out the cost of it. Aside from the "mounting" system it's a great magwell, hell it's like a mag funnel. From what I can tell/see the insert goes in to the backstrap channel.... and that's it... it's just supposed to stay there once the magwell itself is bolted to it. When I lock up both hands while griping my pistol (G34) I can see the front of it flexing downward (I can see this when I grip with only my right hand also). JP and Dawson use a setscrew to hold it in place from the outside of the frame which to me looks like that would keep it from sliding out. I put the sjc insert all the way in and it worked itself loose after one trip to "tuesday night steel", it still "works" with factory glock endplates but it's just loose enough that the arredondo's are making contact towards the rear.... once again I'll call them and I'll post "the" answer here. If anyone uses another magwell with the Arredondo base plates... please chime in, I'm really not opposed to throwing this in a drawer and buying another one.... just don't want to do it twice. Again thanks for the quick replies and I really appreciate the input. I've been lurking around here since June of 08 and just made my first two post last night. This forum rocks!
  6. Howdy, I've been running Arredondo base pads (+6)on my G17 mags, in my G34 and ..... I love 'em. Recently I purchased a sjc magwell and the performance has been "hit and miss".... in short the sjc magwell doesn't positively lockup onto/into the backstrap or bottom of the grip. Really a poor design in my opinion there's no tension holding it in place and it comes loose, anyhoo... Does anyone know of or use a magwell that works great with the Arredondo base pads? I've been considering either: JP= there's a setscrew that goes through the outer hole in the backstrap channel. Dawson Prec. (ICE)= same mounting mechanism as above. Thanks in advance!
  7. "I've looked at all the usual online vendors but haven't found where I can get just the OUTER belt. I have a CR Speed belt set up for Limited. I'd like another outer to set up for a different class, but don't need another inner belt." Brian, I have the opposite problem because I decided to use my inner belt as...... my belt. Been wearing it for a couple of months now and I love it. From all of my work/movement the velcro has gotten kind of worn out but it's shaped perfectly now. I've been looking to buy just another inner... let me know.... if we were the same size we could figure something out and split an order. I'll probablyi just order another setup and sell off the outer belt. Question: Who else makes nice belt setup besides CRSpeed, AA and Safariland?
