  1. I have my VHoldR mounted on the earcups of my sordins. I actually mount it upside down so that the lens is at the same level as my eyes.

Got any videos posted with it that way? My 720p's are all here... http://www.youtube.com/akadamson1

Current mount position for me is top of headset band, not ideal, but it works... may try the sordin trick, but was concerned that the angles would put too much tension on the mount... guess I'll have to look further

  2. Never had a problem with 147 Black Bullets and a LEE FCD. I've been using them since before the warning was on their site. This is the first I've heard of it...

Are they referring to the Lee/EGW "U" die... or the Factory Crimp Die?

I emailed them about this before I bought any of their bullets. They are referring to the undersize dies not the standard FCD.

  3. Chris ,

With the swat mags and Roger Sherman's mousetraps you can get 29+1 and in some cases 30+1.

If you need a SWAT mag just yell. I can probably hook you up.

I am currently collecting parts to do the very same thing you did. I have a X-5 Competition, the extra 9mm P226 slide, mags, and comp. Once I have the barrel it will all be shipped to GGI. I am currently looking at going the route of a JPoint or Doctor mounted on the slide in order to make for easier swaps back to a Limited gun.

  4. And here is Robert Thomas shooting his snubbie Ruger in 45 Colt. 45 Colt making major PF out of snubbie sounded a bit like a cannon!

    Robert shooting the classifier.

:goof: That is the first time that I have seen a video of myself shooting at a match. I knew that my 45 Colt rounds were louder than what other shooters use, but I did not realize that they were THAT loud. :surprise::lol:

lol...the first time you shot I thought that I had forgotten to put my earmuffs on!

It was good shooting with you and the rest of the squad.

  5. Thanks Sam for pulling this match together. And thanks Brad for spelling my name right.

My total revolver experience has now past 500 rounds and I think I kind of like these strange guns. I was really surprised that I didn't try to shove a moonclip in the butt of the gun at anytime during the match.

Barring unforseen conflicts I plan on being there next year and this time I'll be a bit more prepared.

  6. Ok I got some info from Max, but dates are still pending as to the ones I posted. Max said it will be $550.00 for the 2 day class with a $200.00 deposit to hold your spot, the rest due day 1 of class and we are looking for 12 people only. I will keep you guys up to speed on the dates as soon as Travis and Max confirms.

Barring unforseen conflicts at work I am in and I might even add my nephew to the list.

  7. So...................., just how much of Max's Open Blaster is a SIG? Or will he just shoot Production with SIG guns?

None of it...STI all the way. I heard they're still trying to get a Sig Open that runs for him. R,

Funny the one he was shooting at the Illinois Section was a SIG prototype that according to him was made completely by SIG and it was running just fine. But it was essentially a STI copy.

I just went back through my emails from Max and he said he was shooting the same gun at the Nats as he did in Illinois (SIG prototype) and will be shooting a X-5L1 in limited 10.

  8. Did this match get USPSA sanctioned? I see no reference to it in Front Sight or website. Just curious. I still plan on coming along with a few other Georgia Boys.

oops!! I cut and pasted the wrong name the first time.....

It is on the USPSA website under "match schedule & results" listed as "2009 Memphis Charity Challenge"

approval status is listed as pending.
