Damn it,i didnt know you could cut the accessory rail on a stock short dust cover ,as in the picture above.SVI cut my 40cal long dust cover for me,but i would of preferred that done on my STI 45cal short dust cover,and didnt know it could be done.

M1a's come both ways from springfield on one model i'm looking at.

Can buy some that came in with a springfiels M1A gun,but there are no markings of anykind,still the gun store thought they had to be springfield,and they are priced as such,but i'm wondering if, with no markings they most likely are after market junk.

looking at M1A's and see super match with 1/10 barrels ,national match with 1/11.What determines which one i should want.what are the FAL's out of curiousity.

Clarify please,what match can you have 18" barrel with 23" mag tube ,and what match cant you.I have limited knowledge on 3 gun type matches,not having them in my area .

Wanted to know the differ between a limited set up for USPSA and what SOF type matches require.

The intermediate/LW 18" is 7 3/4 Ib.
LW 20" is 8 Ib

I went with the 18" LW 1/9.I like having a little lighter gun than the 20" and dont think i give up that much FPS as compared to 20.The 1/9 223 chamber didnt bother me because i planned on not shooting heavier than 69gr .

My LPA did the same thing.I used red loctite #271 to fix it. The others i tried didnt hold.

I know i want the S series 9 to 13 but dont know if it should be with leg notch height ajustment or reg two piece.

I put in the 12.5 pound spring ,and after to matches i can tell the differ.My 40 cal svi with full dust cover finally has a recoil impulse that lets me get into a rhythm giving me much better hits.

Using Pro Chrono 55gr Q3131A W/15"wilson averaged 2971 FPS.

I usually read that most people dont like front cross hairs,so i was surprised when i did.I use a DPMS flat top shorty A2 rear moved up a inch or so and my eyes naturally center the two circles ,so the cross hairs for me appear to just be in one . At distance i can better shoot smaller targets then with a post.Closer up, burn them down stages it did restrict field of view alittle but i got used to it while still using small appeture ,and felt the way justiys the means .If the front cross hairs are fuzzy its only a matter of time untill you need perscription glasses,or like me have your persription for your shooting glasses fine tuned by your optomitrist,so you can see clearer closer.I think like me you will never know untill you try it.

I went with the CAV C1 (A1) length.It works better for me now with irons,or acog with its limited eye relief.

Yesterdays match while shooting 4 mini type pepper poppers at 120yd's down a relatively steep gavel pit road,it became apparent you had to aim much lower than i am use to at that distance,so much so it felt unnatural,and most in my squad mates kept shooting over.

I currently am using a 18 1/2" barrel with a 7 round mag.I also have a 26"barrel with a 9 round mag that originally came with the gun .Is there a way to have a 22"barrel with a 8 round magl?

Read about them in front sight.I shoot benelli.Wondering if that might be a problem,and where to purchase.No luck thus far on the web.

Go to AR15.com rifles,uppers, lowers forum and see post 18" barrels.Besides JP there are other possibilites.I like the JP.In 18" you can get ultra light or what they call intermediate (L W).

I was told that if i take out the recoil spring plunger out,clean and oil it ,i would then be able to shoot lighter than 4 bird like i'm using now reliably.When trying to get the stock retaining nut screw out of the spring tube, which i couldnt,i dented the recoil spring tube.I just put everything back together.Did i ruin anything.
