What is magazine tuning? I am guessing that it provides better/quicker feeding...??? Thanks for the info and help on this...

I have heard that alot of the open shooters will modify a slide stop so that it does not lock open the slide. Is this true? And if so, why?

Thanks to everyone for the advice... I came up with a Safariland 011 with 4 mag pouches and I got it for $125.00. I think I did okay here...

So where do the 45's live??? Are they really only shot in single stack?

What are the opinions on picking up the speed and when/if the accuracy starts to suffer, ratchet back the speed a little bit? I am thinking this would allow a person to start progressing in speed but retain accuracy as well because when the accuracy suffers, you slow down a notch. Of course this assumes that speed goes up more than a "notch"...

Does anyone have any recommendations for a holster to use with a Para P18.9 frame setup to shoot open class? Thanks -kevin

I went ahead and ordered the Pearce grips for now... I may upgrade in the future but these will be better than the ones that currently live on the gun. KMCA, Again, thanks for the info!!! -kevin

Thanks for the info... The only grips that I was able to find when I looked earlier were the Pearce grips... The ones that are on the gun now are a replacement grip that are a white color. I just don't care for the way they look with an all black gun. I just ordered up the Weigand mount to put an Aimpoint on the gun and that is all black also. I did check out the Hogue grips and I will probably end up going with the Pearce grips as they state that they are "Ultra Thin" and the gun already has a big grip frame. I just picked up a Para P18.9 frame with Caspian Slide and don't care for the grips that are on it... I assumed (yes, I know) that this gun used standard 1911 grips, but it has the oversized grip screws and a different setup for the grips. Is there anyone out there making grips for this frame? If not, I will look at contacting Para and getting the stock grips for it. Thanks for any help... -kevin
