Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Wouldn't a reduced striker spring work more reliably with a lighter striker? The lighter the striker is, the faster it travels (for a given spring weight). The faster it travels, the more energy it has when it hits the primer. Kinetic energy = (1/2)(mass)(velocity^2) Since velocity is squared and mass isn't, it seems as though a fast, light striker would be more effective than a slow, heavy one. Just my $0.02 -- I'm not an engineer!
  2. How do you "repositiion the plastic trigger bar finger pad"? I assume this means the actual trigger part of the trigger bar, right? Do you drill out the original pin and re-drill a new hole in a different location to change the leverage?
  3. Thanks for all of the replies. In the pictures that I've seen, the gap between slide and comp is so small that it's hard to tell whether the two touch or not.
  4. When a Glock with an attached compensator is in battery, is there any gap between the rear of the comp and front of the slide or does the comp actually butt up against the slide? If the slide does push against the comp, putting the barrel in tension (between the ejection port and the comp), does this cause any problems?
  5. That sounds really interesting. Can you share your recipe for the sand putty, especially the proportions of the ingredients?
  6. Was that also done with a soldering iron?
  7. I think he enjoys being a tease. Can you tell us a little about your trigger mods? I'd be particularly interested in which connector you're using and any modifications made to the trigger bar.
  8. How did you do that? The surface looks grooved rather than stippled.
  9. Is the peening only on the barrel, or is there some on the CCF frame as well?
  10. Did those little ports where the front sight used to be do much? And what sort of weight is that on the accessory rail?
  11. Wow! Nice groups. Was any accurizing work done besides fitting the barrel? Also, what is David Tubb's way?
