  1. Dave, please contact me re: 30 moonclips for 686 ... Thanks, Howard
  2. I've been using a BladeTech 4" for both disciplines and it works "slick as glass". Not too pricey, either.
  3. Hearthco moonclips are the one and only answer to your question ... Dave is a great guy to deal with and guarantees his products 100%.
  4. Found this little gem at a local Flea Market yesterday for $5.00 It is HUGE and weighs 1.5 lbs. ... Screwed right onto my old '68 F250 shifter. A "must have" for the Revolver Purist.
  5. I'll give it a try and can always use it as an everyday carry holster. Thanks for the replies, Howard
  6. Thanks for the info. I am a bit concerned about the Trigger Guard not being fully covered. Anyone have input regarding that issue ?
  7. I'd like to know if this Holster is legal for IDPA ESR Division. Don Hume JIT Slide N-Frame Holster #J941150R
  8. I should have specified that I am loading .40 caliber ... NOT 10mm The other posters are talking about 10mm loads. I just found out that I have a fractured T11 Vertebrae (which is causing some unreal pain) and may not shoot the Nats after all, unless my Surgeon can patch me up in time. I will probably revert back to a Minor Load if I actually get the chance to compete.
  9. NO excessive pressure signs and the cases do not bulge at all ... The load is actually pretty soft in the 6.5" 610 and I have used this same load for my STI Limited Gun at least 10 years with OAL length at 1.165" I suppose I will just go with the 1.200" OAL and hope for the best.
  10. I finally worked up a load for my 6.5" 610 that will (hopefully) get me through the upcoming Nationals without a problem. 4.6 gn N320, 180 RN Berry's, Fed 100's, Rem. Nickel Brass, loaded to 1.200" I am averaging between 166.6 & 168.5 PF with this load and that is cutting is close. If I reduce the OAL to 1.165" or so, will I achieve more velocity or just more pressure ? Thank You for your thoughts, Howard
  11. Maybe it's 'cause he walks funny ... kinda like John Wayne (Bless his heart). I will pass along the bad news about the sideways bullets. I don't think he has ever shot any through his STI ? Maybe he knows sumpin' we don't. Seeya at the Open Match, Howie
  12. Otay, Mikey, I'll do that ... and maybe I can get "BOXES" to come along for the ride.
  13. COOL That's what I am looking for ... Thanks, Howard
  14. How 'bout it folks ... Any Loading Data out there for the (3) Powders I listed above ??? Major and Minor Load Data will be appreciated.
  15. I have plenty of 165 gr. Montana Gold bullets and lots of VV N320, 700X, & WSF Powder. I also a good supply of WSP & Federal Small Pistol Primers. I'm looking for a "comfortable" Major Load for my 6.5" 610, which I will be shooting at the upcoming 2010 Nationals. I have severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in both wrists, so Major Loads usually sting pretty good. At 67 yrs. old, half-blind, overweight, with a bad "ticker", I don't expect to do anything more than have a good time. However, I would like to gather as many points as possible and shooting Major will help. If I "must" go to 180 gr. bullets, I can get a supply of Billy's pretty fast. I would greatly appreciate any loading data you may have for the (3) Powders I listed above, using 165 or 180 bullets. Thank You for your time, Howard
  16. Slight change of plan on the Fiber Optics. Where is the best place (read that, best price) to purchase a LPA Fiber Optic Set for my N-frames ?
  17. Yowza, thems the wunz I'm lookin' fer ... Problem is, NO ONE Stocks them anymore and they have been discontinued by the manufacturer. Any good recommendations for an alternate Fiber-optic Sight Set for N-frames ??? Hopefully, something I can get used to before the Nationals in October.
  18. Anyone know where I can buy an ATS Sight Set for my 610 ?
  19. I would greatly appreciate you asking him if he might have another one for a 610 laying around that he would sell. It looks to be something which might help improve my reload time. Thanks, Howard
  20. Still hoping someone has information on where to find one of these Moonclip Dispensers ...
  21. I, too, have plenty of once-fired Winchester .38 Super Brass and they are too tight in the Hearthco Clips and will not seat all the way into the Cylinders of any of my (3) 627 Supers. No problems at all with RP or Starline in any of these guns.
  22. Yes, I figured the SAS Manual would be sufficient but I haven't found it other than on a DVD.
  23. I spend a lot of time in the Wilderness during the months with decent Weather and would like to spend even more time there during the months with harsher climates and wide temperature ranges from Day to Night ... Therefore, I am looking for the Best Possible Books and Manuals available on the subject of Mountain and Desert Survival ... I cannot utilized CD's, DVD's in the wilderness, so they must be printed material only. Please reply with your recommendations for such materials and also tips on purchasing "must have" items for these types of survival. Thanks for your input, Howard
  24. I shot both slow-fire and rapid-fire and it never skipped a beat except for the (3) light strikes (out of 100). Accuracy was excellent with open sights and I will try a Leitz ELCAN sight next. We have a .22 Rimfire 2-Gun Match on the 22nd at Richmond Rod & Gun (CA) and I hope to be ready by then.
