  1. Runs great and very good accuracy to boot ... Just need to smooth up the trigger and I'm good to go. Fired 100 rds. of cheap Blazer through it today and feed was flawless from all (3) 30 rd. mags. I had exactly (3) light strikes ... otherwise, it's running good. I'm thinking Mini-Mag ammo will function even better, so that's next on my list (other than Trigger Work). I have several cases of Stingers (hoarded for 20 years, when it was cheap) and they may prove to be the best of all in this little Gem.

  3. I just picked up a Colt (Umarex) M4 .22 Carbine and hope to substantially improve the Trigger Pull & over-travel. Any Gunsmiths on here who have experience with these fairly new offerings from Colt ?
  4. ICORE : 627-4 .38 Super, 627 V-Comp, 610 6.5" USPSA : 610 4", 610 6.5", 627 V-Comp w/ .38 Short Colts (Production) IDPA : 610 4" ESR, 625JM ESR
  5. Because I can ... and, because money is no object ...
  6. I'm shooting 135RN Billy's (.358") in .38 Short Colt Starline Brass using "Economy Class" Moonclips from (2) of my 627 Supers and they print very well at all distances. I will try the 160RN next and anticipate even better results.
  7. I am currently shooting .38 Short Colt (Starline Brass) with 135 gr. round nose .357 bullets and standard 8-shot .357 moonclips in (2) of my 627-4 Supers ... They drop right into the .38 Super cylinder, eject with ease after firing, and are mighty accurate ...
  8. Just shoot .38 Short Colt in it ... they work PERFECTLY with .357 Moonclips ...
  9. As we discussed in the other thread, the "beautiful bright stainless finish" (as the seller described it in the GB listing) is not original to the gun, and neither are the grips. But I'd say you got a decent deal nonetheless! For some it is extremely difficult to acknowledge the success of others and they MUST always "rain" on others Parade (as the saying does).
  10. I have had nothing but GREAT Service from the Performance Center Staff ... THANK YOU Smith & Wesson !!!
  11. They turned out to be Federal SP Match (not magnum) Primers and I got all 5k for $150.00 ... That should keep me busy for a while ... BTW - That 627-4 I picked up recently on GB for $999.00 is absolutely MINT ... in the Factory Case, and was only missing the Muzzle Cap ... S.&W. Performance Center mailed one out to me on Friday ... N.C.
  12. Actually, I believe I got it for that price because many folks were scared off by the bad Ju-Ju put forth in this thread concerning this particular gun and seller ... all unfounded, I am certain. Anyway, it will soon be topped with a C-more and a fresh custom made comp for ICORE Open Class and Steel Challenge. P.S. - I suspect you are correct about it being a good shooter even though it is polished on the outside ... When it comes to firearms, and I mean ANY firearm, it's what you can't see that counts ...
  13. I spoke with the Dealer (Seller) early this morning and he assured me that it has been test-fired only and comes with the Case and all original items as shipped from the Factory, so I bought it at $999.00 ... I'm kinda surprised no one else bid on it, but I'm happy to NOW be the owner of (3) of these little gems. If you check his GunBroker Feedback he has impeccable credentials ...
  14. I have an opportunity to buy 5k Federal S.P. Match Primers at a very reasonable price and need to know if they will ignite as well as standard Federal S.P. Primers in my 627's & 610's ... P.S. - I haven't actually looked at them yet and they may be S.P. Match Magnum Primers ... I don't know ? I really don't want to ask too many questions or the price may go up.
  15. I was in the Firearms business over 30 years and knew this day would come eventually, especially after the 1989 Assault Weapons Ban and High Cap Ban in 1994. Sooooooo, I made certain there would be plenty of EVERYTHING for my kids, grandkids, and then some. There is no such thing as "Too Much".
  16. I just bought 1000 New Starline Cases from Dillon today and they had about 7,000 still on hand.
  17. I have tried to email them at the address they provide on their website and it keeps getting bounced back. Are they still in business ? Also, anyone know if Pan Pacific is still making moonclips ?
  18. Thanks to all for their input so far ... Still hoping for some loads using 700X and 135 gr. Billy's ...
  19. I'm looking for a load for my 627 shooting .38 Short Colt & .38 Super ... I have an abundance of Win. SuperTarget, Win. SuperField, and 700X Powders and bunches of 135 gr. RN Billy-Bullets in .357" diameter. I would like to be consistently near 125 pf (not shooting any serious stuff). Thanks in advance for your input.
  20. It's a great idea ....... but I must be smokin' crack just thinking about it.
  21. Thanks, but I am working with VV N320 and I have a LOT of it ... Guess I'll just work up a Minor Load to be safe ... It will kill my match score but, at age 66 and fat, I'm not shooting GM scores even in Major and my real competition days are over ... It's all for Fun now.
  22. Looking for a sure-fire Major Load for my 6.5" 610 Revo using VV N320 and 165 gr. or 180 gr. plated bullets, and WSP Primers. Wha-cha got for me, fellow Revo shooters ?
  23. I have an important match coming up next weekend and need a sure-fire Major Load for my S&W 610 .40 w/6.5" bbl. using VVN320, WSP Primers, & 180 gr. plated bullets. Wha-cha-got for me, fellow Revo Enthusiasts ?
  24. Put me down for one each ... .38 Super and 9mm
  25. I called them last week to try and find a replacement muzzle cap for my 627 in .38 Super ... I talked to a very knowledgeable gentlemen who said he didn't think they would have such an item because that model had not been produced in some time and only a few were ever made, but that he would search around in the parts room and send me one if he found it. Today, in the mail, I received a brand new muzzle cap FREE of charge ... Now that's what I call Customer Service !!!
