  1. You think the DWX shoots better than a Shadow 2 Orange? I would think they're more equal. It would be hard to tell for me.
  2. That's pretty legit looking! How much did all that work cost you?
  3. Good luck. Keep us posted. Hopefully it's something simple.
  4. I don't disagree with you at all. The fact of the matter is, every gun manufacturer, even the super expensive ones, have issues at times. Do you load your own ammo? Have you done a plunk test? Have you compared dimensions to see where the issue lies?
  5. My gun exhibits none of those symptoms. Let's be real. Any 1911 could have those issues which are easily remedied.
  6. I don't know what version you've looked at, but ever since their new gunsmith took over, fit and finish is worlds above the initial batch. Serial numbers above 600.
  7. They are very similar (not identical). We can agree to disagree.
  8. You say that like the DS9 is cheap? Cmon man. All the parts are basically the same... There's not much difference.
  9. I think they will be discovered fairly soon and their price will climb to the 4-5k level.
  10. How often do you change your gun configuration? I don't know about you, but I shoot my guns
  11. I'll agree to disagree. I'm buying the whole packaging....execution and customer service. Execution is only a portion of the work.
  12. I hear you. You may have misunderstood me. I don't support their excuses at all. These 'businesses' a lot of times are a 1 or 2 person show. They're out running CNC or Bridgeport all day and don't answer the phone. Period. That's the reality. A friend of mine were talking about this on the weekend. You know how he stays in business? All he does is answer the phone. Literally when everyone else is busy and refuses to answer the phone, he does and keeps his clientele ever evolving and food on the table. Edit - maybe I'm misunderstanding your reply. Are you saying you support their s#!tty customer service because they turn out good work? If you are, I don't agree with your statement. Hire a receptionist to screen calls and take on more work. It's not hard. They'd get a lot more business if they made small changes to their process. How is it 'soft' if we expect someone to answer the phone? And how is it OK to accept subpar service? Do you tip for good service at a restaurant or always tip 20% even when you have a bad server? Or is that being soft and expecting too much?
  13. It's unfortunate but a lot of shops are great at what they do, unfortunately, customer service and PR isn't one of them.
  14. They were 2099 or 2199 when they came out. Is $100 really worth it if you can get it now?
  15. You mean under sprung? I thought most were going with a larger spring on the 5"? Does the profile on the disco require some slight chamfering?
  16. Damn. That's quite the process. Texas has open doors if you want to come down this way!
  17. How does that whole process work? How long does a gun take to get on the list? Who puts it on the list? Do citizens request specific firearms?
