Brass Base Pads

Has anyone tried and/or have the limcat brass base pads? I would like to get some but I havent seen any or dont know where to buy them at???

My honest opinion is that they are a bit of a gimmick...I used them for awhile, but now use arredondos exclusively (except grams on the big stick) as I feel they are a much better (and cheaper) product.

If you have a mag that is just hanging up ever so slightly, the Limcat Brass basepads will help them drop free cleanly, if you are too lazy to diagnose and correct the problem (like me). You do need a punch or a small allen wrench to take them apart for cleaning, which is a minor irritation. I finally fixed my mags and went with Dawson basepads, and clen my mags faithfully whenever they hit the dirt. Don't think you can go wrong either way...Grams, Dawson, Limcat, etc.

From what I've seen it's not weight that gets an empty mag out of the gun, it's a good mag spring and as little friction as possible.

Brass just adds inertia, my 2c.

I've also found that brass basepads are more likely to cause a mag to go "south" on you when you if it's not properly seated, or right on the Edge. (pun intended)
