Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Got a Vanek Super Grand Master in my G34 ,double taps just as good as a 1911, Got a Glockworx Ultimate in my G24 also a very good trigger .
  2. Just kicking some ideas around on a 9mm major open pistol, I currently shooting a Glock 34 for production and also to practice with. I don't know too much about 9mm major ,but for my next project is to build a 9mm open in major class. I prefer Glock due to it's cost effectiveness. Don't get me wrong I highly appreciate all the STI's SVI's,and etc , but as far as the funds go I can get out there with a less expensive pistol "Glock". I'm pretty experience in loading but never loaded anything such as the 9mm major load. Any suggestions, advice, and experience know how's will be much appreciated.
  3. I have the Vanek Super Grand Master in my Glock 34 , nothing like it , double taps almost like a 1911 (almost), I don't think it is production legal due to external mods. Going to try the Glockworx fulcrum on my Glock 24 for limited class read some reviews all positive. Good luck with either choice .
  4. All are great(DPMS,ARMALITE,ROCK RIVER,etc.), I would highly recommend the JP . For one they have the side charging handle . 223/5.56 rear charging handle is fine , not to far to pull, but on a .308 quite a difference . And if you are shooting competively/tactically and that rear charging handle tweeks in any way better hope you have an extra . So my recommendation ,JP all the way.
  5. The Vanek super trigger kit is superb. Go for it. Consider a set of sights from Dawson Precision. Adjustable rear, .100" wide FO front. Awesome, IMO. Dawson Precision ICE magwell. And some Millenium Custom grip tape. Great advice here on trigger, sights and magwell...you will love the Vanek Curtis you guys are "AWESOME" thanks for the advice.
  6. Nice set up ,what the spec's?
  7. I appreciate all the info you all have given , as it stands my Glock 24 does have a KKM barrel (non ported),a bronze extended guide rod (glockworx/zevtec) , I plan a trigger but undecided either a vanek or glockworx , heavy magwell, and sevigny sights, mag button release ,and etc. But any advice is much appreciated.
  8. Just getting started , I'm currently using a Glock 34 in production class , but want to step up to either Limited 10 or Limited class. I was told by my good friend that due to the barrel length (6.00") that I probably couldn't use the Glock 24 . I know there are alot of super fast 1911 style or should I say 2011 style race guns out there but I like Glock for it cost effectiveness , don't really have to break the bank to go shoot and have some reliable fun. So can I use a Glock 24 in USPSA Limited 10 or Limited?
  9. good thing you don't recide in good ol' "republic of california" , you can't have either one , DPMS or Armalite
  10. Installed one along with a Redi-Mag , and had to take a little off the Redi-Mag due to the B.A.D. rubbing up against it . But other then that works great .
  11. I have a new Glock 34 and a first generation Glock 17(had it since 87'), I tried using the old mags in the G34 they fit ,they work, but they don't drop out during a mag change unless I pull them out while pushing mag release button. I was told first generation mags won't work. Any advice out there? Thanks.
  12. Hello to all , I've been shooting for awhile and now I would like to shoot in competition . I want to try 3 gun , my chioce for a handgun is the Glock 34, shotgun Bennelli M-3 super90,and AR. I'm on a budget ,well I'm trying my hardest to stay on budget . My question is , optics? With so many brands, styles, powers, and definnitely prices, which would you reccomend for my AR? I shop alot from various companies and receive their flyers from time to time and on the back page they have a sale on Konus brand scopes. To be exact M-30 1-4x24 with a 30mm tube . Would this be a good choice for a person on a budget and first time shooter in 3 gun? A few people tell me to spend the money , well easier said then done , and times are tough , I just want to make sure shooting competitively will work for me , get the experience , move on to better optics if I plan to stay shooting competitively. Would this be a good approach as a beginner in shooting competition?
