Hey guys, need some guidance. I have a Blade Tech Black Ice holster on order for my 2011. I want to replace the tension adjustment screws (phillips head I believe) with a finger adjustable screw (tool-less adjustment). I see nylon replacement adjustment screws everywhere, but I figure I can get these at any local hardware store in stainless steel or at least nickel plated. What dimensions do I need for this holster? I know it's 8-32 (according to Shooters Connection) but what length do I get? Don't have the holster yet and want to get something for when it comes in. Does anyone make a hang compatible with Bladtech holster that is NOT adjustable and fits firmly on a 1 1/2" competition belt? All the play when the lousy little adjustment bar falls out is driving me crazy.

I picked up a Bladetech Appendix IWB Holster (http://shop.blade-tech.com/klipt-appendix-holster-c-1_13_22.html#.Uy36nV4dB-M) for my Sig 1911 compact and the fit is too snug. I ordered the 1911 3.5" Officer model since they didn't have the Sig 1911 models available. I nearly pulled off my pants the hard way trying to unholster. On further inspection (after I rearranged my undercarriage), I appears the issue is the trigger guard is larger than the holster is designed for and pushes the holster apart near the rivet. I read a few threads about people tweaking their Bladetech holsters by putting them in the oven at 300 degrees. Another user mentioned using a heat gun. Any tips on how to modify a kydex holster to get a more custom fit? Do you put the [unloaded] gun in the holster and toss it in the over at 300 degrees for 10 minutes? Any need to remove internals of the gun?

I'm working on getting together my competition rig, so I picked up a Bladetech holster yesterday and played around with it today. When I went to holster my M&P, it was so tight it would pull the slide back and out of battery. I backed off the tension screws quite a bit, and it still wants to pull back some unless I holster with my thumb on the back of the slide. Is this normal for new holsters like this? When you re-holster, do you have to hold the slide in battery? Don't have much experience with holsters yet, so I'm not sure what to expect. I'd appreciate some input from anyone willing to give it, lol. Thanks in advance!
