Additional welcome from Newtown, CT. This is a great forum. If you check the search engine here you'll get more hard learned info than you've ever wanted. Tough to find a question that has not already been discussed. All new info and questions are welcomed, even some of the dumb stuff that I'm capable of asking. If I can be of any help please let me know. <img src="http://www.brianenos.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cheers.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="cheers.gif" />

Hi. Howjaget the moniker "youngeyes"?.. Are you insinuating the rest of us have "old eyes"? Joke. Nice to meet a local handgunner. Dumb questions, I've probably got a bunch. What newcomer doesn't. THanks for the offer to help out with stuff. Just wait..the questions will eventually fly fast and furious. Maybe we can get together someday and do bang-bang. See ya round.

Hi. How did you get the moniker (screen name) "soi"? Is "OP" your real name? Doesn't really matter if you wish to keep that private.I'm glad you responded..wasn't sure you'ld see my post. So you're in hibernation - a bit cold and dark there? I guess you have an open gun. Whatcha got? PS..wanna learn english slang? I surmise from your post that English is not a primary language. Handgunners language that I see on this site isn't my language and I have a hell of a time trying to figure out what people are talking about sometimes. Mail me back and just let me know you saw this note.

Best to you (cuddle up to a polar bear)

Greetings. CT resident here as well. You will find more info than you can ever imagine on this site. Best place there is for competitive shooting. Others have already mentioned the indoor matches in Cos Cob. When it gets warmer you will find there are plenty of outdoor matches within about an hour and a half drive. Especially if you want to shoot multiple disciplines as I do. I shoot USPSA, IDPA, the occasional steel, and I can shoot a match almost every weekend from April to October.

By the way, I started with a $380 used Glock 17 and it served me well in both USPSA production and IDPA. I still use a Glock 34.

Hi G.I. --- I just want to thank you for your kind welcoming when I joined the site. A bit late but not without sincerity. So, you're a CT. guy in Monroe. This is cool. I spend a good amount of time in Trumbull with my brother. I'm hoping we can get together sometime in the spring and do some shooting locally. I'm really looking for someone or some people that i can learn from. Please PM me if/when you plan on some spring outdoor shooting. I would like to hear from you.

Thanks a bunch...

Frank D.
