GI's are notorious for this. It is really no big deal unless you are saving you brass, and then it should shape up well when resized. It has to do with the ejection port on the slide. Mine was doing this so I had my local gunsmith lower and flare the ejection port. Problem disappeared. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

g.willikers Posted January 26, 2010 Share Posted January 26, 2010 My GI has been doing this for eons. It doesn't really seem to hurt the brass any. I've reloaded the dented brass many, many times ok.
