Sightron Scopes

I picked up a Sightron Mil Dot scope from a prize table last summer. Anyone have any experience with these? Good, bad, something else? It looks nice. Has target knobs. Just need to decide what to mount it on.

I recently ordered their SII 257x32SG, shotgun scope with the double diamond reticle for my AR. In looking at a friend's, the lenses were really clear and the adjustments were really true. I ordered it with the Stoney Point target knobs. When I get it, I'm sure that it will hold zero well, I am curious how consistent their Exac-Trac system will allow the scope to return to zero from doing adjustments.

Chriss Grube I think likes them and writes to this page a lot, so hopefully he can chime in.

Sorry never shot the Sightron scopes. I like the Leupold and the Bushnell 3200 and 4200 series. There were some posts on snipershide.com about them. I don't recall any problems with them.

Got a report on the scope for you. It's great. The lenses and controls are awesome.

With that, I'm going to sound a little hypocritcal here but, I'm switching it out for an ACOG. In trying some other things out and frankly just shooting more since I've been bit by the 3-gun bug, the field of view on my Sightron is a little restrictive...especially compared to an ACOG. Specifically, I'm going to go with a TA01 w/ JP's reticle.
