atbarr
Hello people, I'm attending a TDSA course tomorrow. They suggest I bring 1500 rounds of ammo. As we all know, 9mm is very hard to purchase. So I went to Dick's and they had 250 rounds of Ultramax remanufactured 9mm. Counting tax, it was almost .30 cents a round. It's 125 gr. RN lead. So I'll use 750 rds of this and 750 rds of WW. Now my question, it seems to me I read that the best way to clean out lead in your barrel is shoot some plated. So if I shot two mags of the Ultramax, and then a mag of WW, will that help? I also plan to run a bore snake through it, every 200 or so rds. Does anybody see any problems? Should I do something different? Comments please. Thanks, A.T. DougCarden
Relax, it should be just fine. It will be smokier than the jacketed rounds, but just shoot it first, the jacketed will clean it up just fine.... DougC
