New shooter needs intro training

I have a friend that lives in Anoka MN. She has never shot and has 0 experience with firearms.

Does anyone know of a range/school/instructors that know what they are talking about in or around that area.

I'm sure some folks from the Cities and some more experienced shooters will chime in here, but in the mean time, you could check out www.mnuspsa.org and www.mnguntalk.com to find a few clubs and/or instructors...

The guys at Pine Island are great with new shooters (speaking from experience), but the club is a bit of a drive from Anoka...

And, Holman, WI (where you shot the Area 5 match) is a couple of hours east of there. I think that is Ben Stoeger's home range. Ben contributes here on the forum. (Ben may actually live a little closer than the range is.)

Oakdale (probably 45 min away) gun club has a class for women but the only 2 listed on their site are full and over.

Might be worth emailing the lady listed on the page to see if another is offered. From what I gather it is a real basic class.
