Charles Appel
Greetings, I have a 550B set up to load two calibers - 44 Special and 45 ACP. I want to add the 45 Auto Rim. After researching this, it seems that all I would need would be the 45 Auto Rim shell plate. I believe this is shell plate "H". I think I can use the pins from the 44 Special and the dies from the 45 ACP. Am I missing something?
High Lord Gomer
According to this: http://www.brianenos.com/dnld/550_cross_sp_lb_p-r_cal.pdf You are right about the shell plate, locator buttons, and powder funnel. I don't know about the rest of the dies, though.
Intel6
.45 AR is an ACP case with a fat rim. When I load AR on my 550 I just use the toolhead for ACP and change out the shellplate and buttons. Neal in AZ
