bigsaxdog
at the tues. nite match a friend brought up the topic of tumbling his reloads to get the sizing lube off the cases so that they would chamber better. does anybody do this? i had read that if loaded rounds were tumbled, the powder could be broken up, driving up pressures and that it was an unsafe practice. i does seem that it would get the rounds clean and slick so that they would chamber better. i've been using the midway spray case lube, and it works great when using my dillon press, but the rounds do remain a little tacky. have dropped them in the dirt at action shoots, and it ain't pretty. any ideas??? Flexmoney
This has been covered a few times. You should be able to dig it up. Quick version...tumble them for about 10 minutes.
EricW
Don't take this badly, please, it's not intended to hurt your feelings, but stuff like this is what the "Search" feature is for. It takes a while, because the Forum is getting huge, but many questions can be answered by doing a search first. Cleaning loaded rounds is answered here: http://www.brianenos.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard...4&topic=343 ...which should answer your question. Hope this helps... BigDave
lets clarify this just a tad.... place you freshly loaded rounds in a vibratory cleaner for 5 minutes or so....
