TerryO
Does the velcro work OK? Is it a solid enough way to mount?
IRWFO
Does the velcro work OK? Is it a solid enough way to mount? I use the 3-Gun Gear one on my 590A1. Originally because I have seen the bolt on side saddles come loose in matches. At first I didn't think it was going to hold up but a years worth of practicing, matches and one heavy round count tactical class and I have no complaints. I don't see myself ever trying anything else.
sfinney
It is a Heavy Duty super velcro, very sticky on both the adhesive side (if you degreased the metal, once its on and set for a few days you'll need pliers to rip it off) and the velcor side (your shell carrier will not fall off). The best part is the shells are held in an elastic band, with just enough give that you can rip shells out without having to have a perfect angle.... try pulling shells out of a hard side saddle if you are pulling slightly off, they will hang up. Plus, hard plastic side saddles usually attach with screw through the receiver, and they can bind your action up very easily.
