I hope you're wearing ear protection! I had a 11.5" Bushmaster upper on a pistol lower. One day I was shooting it in an indoor range, and holding it like a short carbine with the buffer tube to my shoulder. In trying to get a cheek weld my ear muff lifted off my right ear a little (I should have been using plugs, too, but I wasn't). Talk about loud! I think I did a little damage to that ear. Those sbr's are nasty, especially indoors! I finally decided that I really didn't need that AR pistol and sold it. BTW, I had no reliability issues with it. Whenever I shot it, it worked 100%.
