p2000lefty
This is a opportunity to teach and practice the backup around a wall with the barrel down range. Please keep safety at the front of your mind when using any of my stages. Think of it as an opportunity to teach new shooters good technique and challenge everyone. One stage a day until xmas? boz1911
Scary stage for the RO. Wouldn't mind with experienced shooters but with new shooters I would give them lots of room.
p2000lefty
Boz1911, I could not agree with you more. The beginning shooters should focus on safety, good technique and getting all A's. If you are teaching speed to beginners D.Q.'s and worse may happen. In order to challenge all levels of shooter at a match you can not limit yourself to beginner level stages. I would hate to lose all the experience and wisdom of my A, master and grandmaster shooters because they are bored by my stages. Again, I stress, teach safety and technique and help them be better shooters and make everyone more safe. Everyone benefits from safety and good teaching, DVC p2000lefty
LPatterson
As Boz said this is scary because the RO can't really see if a shooter has their finger on the trigger while moving down that narrow of a hallway. I hate downrange barrels as shooting obstacles because they cause scoring nightmares. My count of shots for the right corridor was more than 8, did I miscount? p2000lefty
LPatterson, Excellent point! Remember that you can add width as desired. What about making the center walls a pyramid shape? I wish there would be a R.O. course in Wisconsin. I never considered the R.O. when designing. Thank you, p2000lefty
