kimberacp
Looking for advice on a purchase. Am locked into getting a Sig 220 and came across a LW frame SAO/4.4 barrel P220 or should I get a steel frame P220 DA/SA model. I wanted this for CDP division. With trigger work from Grays guns, I can live with the DA/SA model meaning if the steel frame gun would be a better purchase. But since alot of gun are polymer frame, the LW model with the SAO wouldn't be a disadvantage either. any thoughts would be helpful! thanks
revchuck
Do a search here. There has been discussion about whether the steel frame guns make weight for CDP. I didn't follow it closely, so I don't know what the consensus was.
19852
This has been gone over. If I remember my history correctly Ernie Langdon won CDP with a steel frame P220. It needed light modification to make the old weight limit. A new and lighter weight limit was adopted later and now it won't make it[?]. Not sure on this one, time for a search or maybe Duane remembers?
Duane Thomas
The weight limit for CDP hasn't changed. It's still 41 ounces.
