vrmn1
Sadly I only meet Charlie a few months ago and didn't get to spend near enough time with him. He was a good friend of and to my brother. Charlie shot some cowboy matches but ask they not time him, he just did it because he loved to shoot. He held informal 22 matches for his friends every Monday in his garage. He wrote a chapter in the book Skeeter Skeltons wife wrote after Skeeters untimely passing. And Sheriff Jim Wilson wrote about Mr Charlie in an article in the Feb 08 I think Shooting Times. ap38
I met Charlie going through the Police Academy in Las Cruces in 1979. I later shot PPC matches with him in Raton after he retired. He was a true gentlemen and exemplar of the Border Patrol Tradition. I will miss him greatly. ap
