USBP379
Howdy All, I am 99% committed to buying a new S&B Short Dot for my JP rifle. First though, I would like to know if any S-Dot owners were dissapointed with the scope, or if they just felt sick about paying 2k for a scope!!?? Thanks, Billy San Antonio, TX
Cardinal
I have a Gen 2 SD which i love. I use the dot for short ranges, but like having a reticle for shooting poppers at 300+m. Most top shooters here seems to prefer the Zeiss Vari point, but i'm old fashioned and like have a reticle/crosshair to fall back on. The mil reticle also make it easy to compensate for bullet drop and can be used to hold for wind.
fastshooter03
After the FN/Cmmg 3-gun I was able to look through a S&B 1.1-4 with Ill dot reticle. It was a fine crosshair with bright red dot. Looking at their website I think it was a #3 reticle but it looks like they only offer a cqb and #7 reticle in that model. I could swear it was a #3 the crosshair was fine all the way the the edge of the scope. The FOV was very good and it looked like you could hose no problem at close targets. I got to shoot it but not at targets. Very impressive scope. Nick
Tom Freeman
I really like mine. We normally shoot out MGM flash targets from 200 to 425 yards. Every match the price tag stings less and less.
