phil1640 Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 i have a para 1640 pxt .i have not had any problems with the extractor yet,but it throws the brass out about 15 to 20 feet. i would like it to throw the brass about 6to8 feet. what can i do to tune the pxt extractor? can i get after market extractor for the pxt? Joe4d Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 The extractor extracts It doesnt throw brass. And if it is working best thing is dont mess with it. The ejector throws the brass. It can be tuned to throw at a certain angle and I assume shortened to throw the brass closer. But most likely you recoil spring is worn out. I would replace that. There are no aftermarket extractors I am aware of. Some smiths are sleeving the larger tube. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
