Hi,

A friend of mine wants to shoot revo and 1911 platform.

I heard that there's a race holster adaptable to both.

Are there inserts that come with it or are there some extra parts that one has to buy?

And does one have to specify which new model to order?

Which of the online stores carry Cr Speed with professional service

and fair prices?

I got my CR from Shooter's Connection. He had a good price and Chuck's service is always great.

I just tried a several of my revos in my CR and the trigger guards on them are all too wide for the CR. I would suggest your friend find someone with a CR locally and try his revo in it before he spends the $$$.

I beleive Jerry Miculek is using a CR Speed holster. I'm not sure if the revolver model will work with a 1911 though. Brownells carries the revolver model and has a picture(Brownells).

AFAIK, The revolver holster from CR (I have one) is the same as the 1911 holster. It just has a different muzzle cup (the really big one). So if I were your friend, I would buy a CR revolver holster and a separate muzzle holder for 1911's (like the arredondo).

About what Kimel said, I got my revolver holster with a lot of spacers to make my revolver fit the holster frame. If you buy the 1911 holster, you'll get the same holster frame, but not all the spacers. So again, buy the revo holster and a separate 1911 muzzle thingy.

BTW, I got this info from Saul Kirsch, who happens to be a CR dealer.

I would specify to whom you buy from, what your plans are, however. Just to make sure.

I couldn't find the Cr revo model on sale at Chuck's store.

I'll give him a call soon to ask if he has them.
