KentG
OK it seems like something that should not be hard but Im stumped. Im a PLC/CNC guy not an IT guy. For some reason my machine has decided everytime I click on a link to send email I get an explorer error (XP) "could not perform this opperation because the default mail client is not properly installed" I have not changed anything and the email works. I run Mailwasher and ZoneAlarm and run MS updates. WTF?? All the normal settings seem to be OK but I dont get it. Help me before I KILL MY MACHINE!! NewRacer
I think the default program for Internet Explorer assoicated for your email is corrupt. translated: IE doesnt know what email software program to use to create the email message. What do you use for email? Outlook? Try this:(not sure what IE you have either) 1. In IE tools - go to internet options - programs - email and set default email as Outlook Express. 2.Now click on the email to link..It should open in Outlook Express.. 3. Close it.. 4. Again go back to tools - internet options - programs - email and set default email back to - Microsoft Outlook. Try clicking the email link again.... KentG
Tried that already. No work. I did a system restore before I hit the bed last night for two weeks ago and still no luck.
