AlamoShooter
If it's 3-5 years old, your 4 might also have voids in it that will reduce the overall brightness even further. It'll probably be real hard to see in such a small dot but I have a couple of 6 moa dots that have very noticeable voids in them. stupid question probably, but English isn't my first language. whats a void? Is it like, portions of the dot missing? When I focus on the lens instead of the target, I see 5-15 really small dots that makes a nice dot when I focus on the target. Is it suppose to be like it? It can seam as though English is not my Language ether so I'm going to try at at the Void question. = If you think of a very close up Microscopic Photo of a piece of plastic or steel. The Photo is so close that the material looks like a Slice of "Bread" the small air bubbles in the "Bread" are the (Voids) the Air bubbles when the part is made is the problem. Like punching a hole in the slice of bread and shinning a light through it = the light from the hole will be fuzzy at the edges.
Spyre
I have the 8moa with the click adjustable power switch and haven't had any issues with the dot getting washed out at all.
