snaps
Hi guys, ive just been on hennings website and had just watched the video clip on his custom grips. I like this idea so much that ive decided to make my own of a similar design. So far ive been gathering the measurements of my hand and current grips. I plan on creating a mold from lead then injection molding grips using aliphatic diisocyanate which is like a very hard rubber simmilar to what is used in hogue grips (because im using a rubbery material i might need to tap in another grip screw to ensure it holds). Ill keep you all posted on how it turns out pics will be up soon.
ks-shooter
Excellent! Looking forward to seeing the outcome of the experiment. I am about ready to do the molding on the aluminum grips like Henning shows in the video. However, I don't want to cover it with grip tape and I just need to find a material (paint) that I can spray on and add aluminum oxide sand to in order to make my own non slip "grip tape". snaps
Crushed garnet might be a suitable additive to paint maybe using something like a resin coating might work.
